While playing at a water park, Marvin the duck loses his ability to speak. Doc, Lambie, and Stuffy then have to find a new way to communicate in order to figure out what happened.

This episode includes examples of:

  • Beach Episode: Kind of. Doc and her toys spend the day at a park with a sandy playground and a water pad.
  • Body Language: Doc and the toys learn that they can express themselves without their voices by using body language.
  • Friendly Tickle Torture: When Doc holds Stuffy up to Marvin so he can use him to point to what part of the body is bothering him, both Lambie and Marvin take the opportunity to tickle him.
  • Hand Signals: Using only gestures, Doc tries to tell the toys to look for Marvin’s lost squeaker in the water. At first, Stuffy thinks she’s saying that her eyes hurt or her eyes are on the ground, but Lambie quickly corrects him.
  • Incorrect Animal Noise: Using the spare squeakers in her bag, Doc performs a squeaker transplant on Marvin. However, the only squeakers she has are for the wrong animals, causing Marvin to moo like a cow and roar like a lion.
  • Lost Voice Plot: Marvin loses the ability to “speak” when the squeaker that he quacks with falls out.
  • Once per Episode: Doc’s Diagnosis - Can’t-Squeak-osis
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: Based on the line, “To be or not to be…” from Hamlet.
  • Security Cling: After claiming to be a big, brave dragon, Stuffy gets scared by Marvin, the toy duck, squeaking and jumps into Lambie’s arms.
  • The Speechless: Marvin becomes this when he loses his squeaker.
