Clausen and Charlotte interview Regina. Jonas takes Hannah to 1987, where Claudia has an unnerving encounter and Egon visits an old nemesis.

- The Atoner: 1987!Helge apparently is regretful about kidnapping the children and provides Egon with a clue.
- Contrived Coincidence: Noah is just near the caves at the exact time Mikkel arrived there.
- Cryptic Conversation: Old Claudia gives some papers to her younger self and tells her to stop Adam.
- Determinator: Nothing will stop Jonas from getting back to his time, not even his injured leg and wounded neck.
- Eldritch Abomination: The God Particle, or whatever it actually is.
- Fate Worse than Death: Ulrich has remained in a psychiatric facility for 34 years.
- Happily Adopted: Mikkel, now Michael Kahnwald with Ines in 1987.
- Hope Spot: Jonas is captured immediately after going through all the trouble of stealing the fuel.
- Inexplicable Cornered Escape: Jonas has to steal diesel from a tank. He almost gets caught by a guard who patrols around the tank but when the latter turns the corner where Jonas was hiding, the latter is gone. The next scene shows him hiding behind a wall some distance from the tank.
- Lethal Diagnosis: Egon is informed that his cancer has spread.
- Miscarriage of Justice: Ulrich apparently never had a chance to defend himself in a court before being stuck in a psychiatric ward.
- Mistaken for Cheating: Magnus finally witnesses the other end of one of Franziska's exchanges at the train tracks, and assumes that she must be in the same business as Benni. Franziska reveals to Magnus she's been selling hormone medication to Benni (since Benni's previous source was Franziska's father Peter, who paid for her services with the drugs), and breaks up with Magnus.
- My Future Self and Me: Claudia reveals herself to her past self and uses the time travel machine in front of her.
- Older and Wiser: Ulrich has lost a lot of his hot-headedness with age, but still snarks at his nemesis Egon.
- Pet the Dog: Elisabeth stops Jonas's execution later on.
- Public Execution: Jonas is almost hanged publicly by Elisabeth but she shoots the rope after a couple of seconds.
- Scars Are Forever: Jonas gains the neck scar he has as the Stranger.
- Shoot the Rope: Elisabeth shoots the rope when she changes her mind about hanging Jonas.
- Trapped in the Past: Ulrich, like Mikkel, is unable to return to his time after all.
- Token Good Teammate: Silja is apparently this in Elisabeth's group.
- You Have to Believe Me!: Averted by adult Jonas, who instead opts to take Hannah to 1987 to prove Time Travel.
