  • The Reveal: Helge Doppler in 1986 was responsible for the child kidnappings.
    • The desolate cabin which Charlotte finds is the same cabin where Erik Obendorf was kept in 1986.
  • Surprise Incest: Downplayed. Jonas realizes that Martha is actually his aunt.
  • Tattooed Crook: Noah displays his back tattoo on all his glory as a time breach occurs.
  • The Atoner: Present Helge is clearly regretful of his part in the kidnappings as he leaves the facility to stop Noah.
  • This Is My Boomstick: Downplayed. Officer Tiedemann is baffled when he sees Jonas's modern headphones.
  • What Year Is This?: When Jonas arrives at his school in 1986, he asks Regina what year it is.
