Go To

Karen finds out the Super Villain Girls are going to bomb a bridge but has a surprising amount of trouble getting her friends to help her stop it.

Tropes:

  • Bait-and-Switch: Karen transforms into Bumblebee and says she knows the heroine to stop the Super Villain Girls... and flies away to call Wonder Woman.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Just as Giganta is about to punch Bumblebee for ruining the villains' plan, Wonder Woman blocks her punch, followed by the other girls arriving.
  • Brick Joke: The reason why Zee couldn't help Karen at the moment was because she needed to find her cape. She happily sings that she found it after she and the other girls arrive to help Bumblebee.
  • Comically Missing the Point: Bumblebee trying to ask Jessica for help in preventing the Super Villain Girls from blowing up the bridge doesn't go anywhere because Jessica's so swept up in protesting the Burrito Bucket for selling beef that she assumes Bumblebee is talking about a metaphorical bridge between humans and animals.
  • Crowd Surfing: At the concert, we see Kara crowdsurfing quite enthusiastically. Then, when Karen tries to get her attention, she ends up lifted by the crowd too, farther and farther away, until she's thrown out.
  • Evil Is Petty: The Villain Girls are going to blow up the bridge so Harley's math teacher can't make it to school and give her a test.
Harley Quinn: He's gonna be stuck in traffic all day!
  • Fish out of Water: Karen's attempt to ask for Wonder Woman fails because the latter still hasn't learned how to answer the phone.
  • Meaningful Name: The episode starts with the Super Hero Girls running to catch a ship called S.S. Tardy. Missing the ship is what leads Karen to find out the villains' plan.
  • Punch Catch: Wonder Woman effortlessly catches Giganta's fist as she's trying to hit Bumblebee.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: If a hero has a part-time job, chances are they are gonna be unavailable. When Karen tries to talk to Babs about the villains' plan, she unknowingly bypasses her entire line. Karen is forced to wait her turn until she finally makes it...only to find that she's on break.
  • Two-Headed Coin: Implied when Harley says Catwoman lost the coin toss for choosing tails.
