And up in smoke.

Tropes

  • 10-Minute Retirement: During the additional chapter, Jones decides to quit the Police Force due to the events that happened in the district, realizing how he messed things up to the point of being a suspect, and how badly he could damage the image of the Police by his stay. Luckily, due to a video that Ramirez, Alex, and the player put together about his work as an officer and how this job had been his dream since he was a kid, they convinced him to stay right before leaving at the airport.
    • What happens instead, is that he is given leave until he feels emotionally stable to come back. He takes that time to seek a therapist.
  • The Cameo: In Ramirez's video, former Chief King appears on Jones' first day as an officer.
  • Don't Celebrate Just Yet: Even in jail, Rozetta warns the GBPD has "won the battle, but not the war". Concerned about it, Chief Parker decides the GBPD should investigate her origins at the University.
  • Hypocrite: Emilio distanced himself from Tony because he considered the man to be nothing but a criminal, even after reforming. This is pretty damn rich coming from someone willing to fulfill a madwoman's dream of controlling the population by creating a mind-altering serum.
  • Happier Home Movie: The video Ramirez, Alex, and the player pull together to give to Jones so he comes back to the force, is full of moments where he was in the force in Grimsborough. We as the player, only see 3 times: His first day on the job, the time he wore a superhero costume while still being on duty, and the time he took Astrid with him to catch Tess Goodwin.
  • Man on Fire: How Tony was killed, thanks to a Molotov cocktail.
  • Molotov Cocktail: The murder weapon.
  • One of Our Own: Jones gets flagged as a suspect when proof of him breaking into Tony's home is found in the form of lockpicking equipment.
  • Patricide: Tony was murdered by his son, Emilio Fuller.
  • Refreshingly Normal Life-Choice: Discussed. Once he is stopped from taking the plane, Jones explains that his plan was to arrive in Philadelphia and start a Donut Shop by himself.
