Let's just say that the murder weapon is much bigger than this.

Frank takes the player to a strip club to get some drinks and relax, but of course their free time gets cut short when they stumble upon the body of stripper Stacy Lovely impaled on a olive skewer inside of a giant martini glass.

Tropes:

  • Accidental Marriage: One-sided example with Spencer Dickson, who got married to the victim after she got him drunk so she could steal his money.
  • Amoral Attorney: In addition of being a priest, Joey also works as a divorce attorney, which is part of his Con Man persona.
  • Blatant Lies: When you call out Frank for bringing you to a strip club, he says he had no idea it was one in the first place.
  • Call-Back:
    • Ramirez reappears after being absent since Case 36.
    • Eugenia Hestentrope also appears for the third time to warn you about a gun convention that will be taking place this week at Paradise City, which she fears could be linked to the supposed planned heist on her casino.
  • Caper Crew: This case finally confirms that one of these is being formed to perform a big heist somewhere on Paradise City (implied to be The Mennagio Casino), and Merv Waylon, a gun trader, is part of it.
  • Cliffhanger: The case ends with Chief Marquez ordering you to go interrogate Merv Waylon at the motel he's staying in, since he's linked to the Caper Crew planning a big heist in Paradise City.
  • Con Man: Joey and Stacy worked together by having her marry drunk men at Joey's chapel, then file divorce after said men were sober, which would force them to give Stacy half of their money that she would later share with Joey.
  • Continuity Nod: The Mennagio reappears as a crime scene, though you investigate the hotel rather than the casino this time.
  • Decoy Damsel: We discover that the victim was this, luring the strip club's clients to a hotel room to make them drunk, convince them to marry her, and then file divorce so she could inherit half of their fortune.
  • Elvis Impersonator:
    • Joey Kim, the priest of the chapel the victim got married in, dressed like Elvis Presley.
    • Ramirez also appears dressed like Elvis as part of his undercover investigation in Paradise City.
  • Family-Friendly Stripper: Jezebel Lopez, one of your suspects.
  • Felony Misdemeanor: In Chapter 2, Chief Marquez informs you that she has just arrested a "fat little man dressed as a famous rock and roll singer", which she considers to be a crime, though we later learn that it's Ramirez with information for you.
  • Foreshadowing: While giving you the autopsy report, Roxie says the victim looks awfully familiar. Then later during the case, she remembers that she saw Stacy getting married in a wedding chapel.
  • Gold Digger: Stacy married with drunk men then filed divorce immediately after so she could get their money, since she wanted to leave Paradise City and stop being a stripper.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Jezebel had become envious of Stacy since she was getting into spotlight and getting more clients that the other girls in the club.
Jezebel: Who did she think she was?! We have a code at the club: girls don't steal other girls' clients. Stacy had no respect!
  • Hangover Sensitivity: When you talk to Spencer for the first time, he's so hungover he can't remember being married to the victim in the first place.
  • I Have No Granddaughter!: Sue-Ellen, the victim's grandmother, crossed her off from the family tree after she discovered she was a stripper and got married without even inviting her to the ceremony.
  • If I Can't Have You…: Jeremy killed Stacy after he discovered she had married another man (not realizing she only did it to divorce him for his money), which made him kill her.
  • Immediate Self-Contradiction: At the start of the case, Frank tells Chief Marquez he's working hard and he's going to prove it before storming off to "fight crime". Cue him inside and the player inside of a strip club after a screen transition.
Frank: See, <Player's Name>? I told you we'd go find killers... killer drink deals, I mean!
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: The victim was killed by being impaled on a giant olive skewer that served as a pole for dancing on a giant martini glass.
  • Love at First Sight: Jeremy fell in love with Stacy after he saw her dancing on the strip club.
  • Love Makes You Crazy: Jeremy killed Stacy in a fit of rage since he was obsessed with her, but she had already married someone else.
  • Mistaken for Gay:
    • When Roxie tells you she remembers seeing the victim somewhere, Frank says he didn't know Roxie was into female strip clubs.
    • This can also happen to Frank if the player has a male avatar, since Joey asks if you're at the chapel to get married regardless of the player's gender.
  • Never Speak Ill of the Dead: Jeremy, the bellboy at the Mennagio Hotel, attempt to invoke this... before proceeding to criticize the victim anyway.
Jeremy: Stacy Lovely? There's plenty to say, though I hate to speak ill of the dead!
Frank: Just tell us what you know, kid.
Jeremy: Stacy came to the hotel practically every night with rich, drunk guys, making them order everything off the room service menu.
She always left the room trashed! And nobody ever left a tip!
I hate to say it, but... she should have had more respect for the hotel staff, those men, and frankly, herself.
  • Rhyming Names: The victim, Stacy Lovely.
