Numbuh 2 investigates a pink eye outbreak in Gallagher Elementary in a noir style. An epidemic of conjunctivitis (pink-eye) has taken several victims. Numbuh 2 must investigate if the cases are coincidental or if a certain nurse is causing them.

Now Loading Tropes:

• Badass in Distress: Numbuh 86 falls victim to Nurse Claiborne and is used as another student pinkeye factory for most of the episode.
• Bait-and-Switch: When it seems like Numbuh 2 was going to throw the apple crumbles in the trash after learning the truth about them, it turns out he still chooses to eat them. Although the implication that the filling is made from mucus gives him pause.
• Berserk Button: Numbuh 2 learns the hard way that Numbuh 86 really hates being called "toots".
• Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Nurse Claiborne may seem like a sweet, caring school nurse during the pink eye epidemic. But as it turns out, she's causing the pinkeye outbreak to use their eye crust in her baked goods. After the Kids Next Door expose her operation, the school fires her.
• Bittersweet Ending: Nurse Claiborne escapes, but the Kids Next Door release all the infected kids and cure them of their pinkeye.
• Buffy Speak: Nurse Claiborne using the term "Infect-u-cated".
• Foreshadowing: When Joe is hit by a pinkeye water balloon, Numbuh 2 offers to take him to the nurse. Joe tries to refuse, but since half his mouth is crusted over by the pinkeye, he can't get the message out clearly.
• Here We Go Again!: Okay, so they solve the mystery of what was the "crust" on the apple crumbles. Then Numbuh 3 asks what the filling was made of... and 86 makes a big sneeze emitting green mucus.
• How We Got Here: The episode begins with Numbuh 2 about to toss a plate of apple crumbles into the trash before rewinding to how it got to that point.
• I Ate WHAT?!: Numbuh 2’s disgusted reaction when he finds out what the crumble to Nurse Claiborne’s apple crumbles were made out of. The filling is made of boogers.
• Noir Episode: The entire episode follows Numbuh 2 trying to solve a mystery in school. With even a cop (hall monitor) in his way. And the episode has a mild brown filter.
• Sick Episode: A pinkeye epidemic is going around the school...which is being used to make desserts.
• We Will Meet Again: As Nurse Claiborne makes her escape she tells Numbuh 2 that he hasn’t seen the last of her.
