Jérémie wins a fighter pilot experience that Odd signed up everyone for in the hopes he'd win, but XANA isn't far behind, and hijacks the plane, with plans to kill Jérémie and destroy the factory.
This episode contains examples of:
- Crazy-Prepared: The fighter pilot base have a plan called the "Tango procedure", which is to shoot down the plane to avoid any civilian casualties.
- Cool Plane: The jet fighter Jérémie got to (unwillingly) fly in.
- Didn't Think This Through: Odd really wanted to win a ride on the jet fighter, so, to increase his chances, he submitted an entry form in his name and one for each one of his friends, and Jérémie's name is drawn. However, the prize can't be transfered to another person, so Odd's plan fails. Subverted in the end of the episode, when Odd and Jérémie get around this by having Odd claiming he is Jérémie.
- Friendship Moment: Jérémie sends Aelita a postcard from Canada to keep her from being lonely when the mail call rolls around. After the time reversion, she appreciates the gesture.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: William reflects one of Odd's laser arrows with his bracelet, devirtualizing him.
- Just in Time: Aelita deactivates the tower and Yumi launches a return to the past when the plane Jérémie was in was about to crash and the missile shot by XANA was about to hit the factory, which would have killed the rest of the group.
- Opportunistic Bastard: XANA clearly heard about the competition, and messed about with the plane simply because it was good timing for his own machinations on Lyoko.
- Why Did It Have To Be Planes?: Jérémie tells the rest of the group he can't claim the prize he won because he can't be away if XANA attacks. Later he would tell Aelita that he wasn't really expecting XANA to attack that afternoon: he was just really afraid of flying.
