Tropes

  • Body of Bodies: The villagers under the Magician's control form into a giant ball to form Legion.
  • Coming and Going: The plotlines in this episode. Scenes of the Sumi, Taka, and Alucard threesome and Hector having sex with Lenore are juxtaposed with Isaac's fight against the Magician and his forces and Trevor, Sypha and company storming the priory. For bonus points, the sex scenes end with Alucard and Hector being violently betrayed by their partners.
  • Crying After Sex: Alucard cries as he is seduced by Sumi and Taka, apparently overwhelmed by raw emotion. After intense loneliness, this is the most intimate Alucard has been with anyone in a long time — or possibly ever.
  • Double-Meaning Title: The episode title refers to
    • Isaac's main actions, that result in a harvest of new material for his army, and
    • The harvest of human souls to feed the Visitor and open the Infinite Corridor.
  • Evil vs. Evil: Isaac against the Magician.
  • Exact Words: Lenore traps Hector under her spell. During sex, she makes him swear loyalty to her. In their moment of passion, he does, allowing her to slip the slave ring onto his finger.
  • Fake Ultimate Mook: The Magician's personal bodyguard is a huge man covered in armor who dwarfs all the other slaves in size. Despite his imposing appearance, Isaac dispatches him with little difficulty.
  • Circles of Hell: As the Infinite Corridor connects to Hell various layers are shown: a Fire and Brimstone Hell, a black forest with trees that look like twisted human shapes and a river of blood, a frozen lake with people trapped in the ice, and a desolate wasteland. Bits and pieces of past and current human civilizations can be seen—including Greco Roman statues and ruins, medieval villages, and the ruins of Dracula and Lisa's cottage.
  • Interplay of Sex and Violence: The episode starts the climaxes of the four storylines with Trevor and Sypha and Isaac's parts showing them in brutal battles, while Alucard and Hector's parts show them having sex, with the sex becoming noticeably more suspicious as the battles become more and more tense.
  • Made a Slave: Lenora tricks Hector into becoming her slave by having him swear his loyalty to her while they're having sex, then slipping a slave ring on him, binding him to his words.
  • Modesty Bedsheet: Downplayed. In both sex scenes everyone at least shirtless, with Lenore and Sumi's breasts being visible. Yet a strategically placed sheet is still used to cover all the character's groins, to hide their genitals and the actual sex act. A few shots also use Shoulders-Up Nudity or Scenery Censor.
  • No-Sell: Isaac is able to resist the Magician's attempt to enslave him.
  • Silent Antagonist: Goes both ways, as the final charge to the Magician by Isaac is completely wordless on both of their parts.
  • Three-Way Sex: Between Alucard, Sumi and Taka.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Prior Sala loses all composure when the Visitor opens up a gateway to Hell that he wasn't even aware was there. He doesn't show much emotion in his tone, but the fact that he panics at all is notable for him.
Prior Sala: What the fuck is that?
  • Warrior vs. Sorcerer: A Magic Knight vs Squishy Wizard example. Isaac has some skill in magic, specifically as a Maker of Monsters and Necromancer. However, he mostly Fights Like a Normal, using either a spiked belt or a magic dagger. So when Isaac faces The Magician, who has immense power but is also physically frail and weak, he is utterly helpless once Isaac gets past his defenses and shrugs off his mind control.
  • Wham Shot: The shot of Dracula and Lisa embracing in their ruined house in Hell.
