Milo must get the VCR fixed after Thor shoves his toaster tart in it, causing it to get jammed. Suddenly, there's a cry for help from Tabitha! At her summer school, Otto threw her pencil in the air and it got stuck in the ceiling, which she needs it for her test. Milo and Lizbeth have to assist them to get her pencil back.

Tropes in this episode:

  • All for Nothing: Milo suggests his baby brother Thor to watch a video together, and he chose to watch The Singing Turnip again. However, the VCR wasn't working right due to Thor shoving over his raspberry toaster tart into the machine. As a result, Milo must get the VCR fixed before his parents find out about it. When the tart eventually pops out of the machine and fixes it near the end of the episode, his parents surprised him with a new DVD player and an ultra-sound version The Singing Turnip, which makes Milo's plan on fixing the VCR pretty much pointless now.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Milo uses his suction cups on his feet to climb up the teacher's desk in order to reach for Tabitha's lucky pencil on the ceiling. Although he did climb the desk up, he can't reach up the pencil due to being too short. This lead to him asking Tabitha and Otto to help by stacking up lots of tables and books so he will be able to climb high enough to reach for the pencil.
  • Don't Look Down: Lizbeth said this to Milo after he loses his sticky hands to climb up "Mt. Teachersdesk" which even without them, he was still able to climb up the "peak".
  • "Eureka!" Moment: Milo is able to climb up the stack of tables and books in the teacher's desk, but it is unable to reach for Tabitha's lucky pencil, due to his VCR throwing off his balance. Lizbeth suggests to him to take off the VCR from his back, which led to him having an idea from his "Bird Brain" by putting his VCR to the stack to try to reach, which was not what Lizbeth was thinking of. However, the plan worked for two reasons: one, the toaster tart that Thor shoved inside popped out of the machine after he jumps on it, which fixes it, and two, he was able to reach for Tabitha's lucky pencil and gives it back to her. Although her pencil was dropped from her desk, leading to her teacher to put it on her hair, Milo uses his sticky hands to take the pencil out of hair, and retrieves it back to Tabitha, just in time for her test.
  • Freak Out: Tabitha starts freaking out after Otto threw her lucky pencil up to the ceiling, getting it stuck. She needs to get her pencil back before her teacher comes back to get started for her test, or else she won't get a higher grade from her A+ to an A++.
  • Race Against the Clock: Milo only has a few minutes to get Tabitha's lucky pencil out from the ceiling before her teacher comes back to get her test started.
  • Scaling the Summit: Milo imagines the stack of tables and books at the teacher's desk as a "deadly irresistible mountain" named "Mt. Teachersdesk" with his visor. He uses his sticky hands to climb up the "mountain" in order to retrieve Tabitha's lucky pencil up the ceiling. Although he loses it halfway through, he was still able to climb up the "mountain" (aka: the top of the ceiling). Unfortunately, he wasn't able to reach high enough for the pencil, due to his VCR throwing off his balance.

Milo endures the horror of shopping for new school outfits where he sees Owen get his head stuck in a turtleneck sweater and his head doesn't come through! Now Owen blindly staggers off and into a world of trouble.

Tropes in this episode:

  • Anything but That!: Milo hates school clothes shopping. In fact, he tried to fake sick in order to not go, which backfired as he doesn't have a fever, leading him to go anyways.
  • Brick Joke / Pyrrhic Victory: After getting dragged by his mother to try out some clothes, the only way for Milo to escape from his mother in order to help Owen get his turtleneck off, was to distract her by looking at a sailor's suit that he "really wants" so she can find a size for him (although he only did that to distract her). Turns out at the end of the episode, she indeed decided for him to actually try out the suit, much to his chagrin.
  • Clingy Costume: Owen tries on a turtleneck sweater from his overprotective mom in order to find good clothes for him. Unfortunately, his head got stuck inside of the turtleneck and is unable to get it off, causing him to stagger off and start causing trouble throughout the clothing store.
  • Comedic Underwear Exposure: During the Narrator's So Once Again, the Day Is Saved moment, Milo poses as usual but after he brings out his cape, his goofy flamingo underwear got exposed, causing him to embarrassingly cover them up.
  • Dragged by the Collar: Both Milo and Lizbeth were victims of this as they were both dragged by their moms multiple times throughout the episode to try out some clothes, while trying to help Owen get his stuck turtleneck off of him.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: After Lizbeth sees the zipper on Owen's turtleneck, this gives Milo an idea from "Bird Brain" to undo the neck. He then proceeds to battle with the sailor's suit mannequin to undo the neck by taking its head off, which was not what Lizbeth was thinking of. Eventually, the plan worked since after he throws out the mannequin head, it hits Owen, throwing him into an elevator up to the toy store, where a cane unhooks the neck of his turtleneck, finally freeing him from getting his head stuck to it, and finally lands back to the clothing store in a soft landing.
  • Oh, Crap!: After Lizbeth tells Milo from his walkie talkie that Owen is about to head over to the china department, Milo then replies "You gotta be kidding!" in appropriate fear as Owen could start breaking the stuff as a result of his getting stuck in his turtleneck. Thankfully, it was averted.
  • Playing Sick: Milo fakes sick at the beginning in order to not go school clothes shopping. However, it didn't work out well as his mother knew that he was faking it since he doesn't have a fever.
  • Speak in Unison: This happens to Milo and Lizbeth after seeing that they aren't fully dressed once they returned together at the china department.
Lizbeth: Captain, I've only got a few minutes. My mom's distracted in the notions department.
[they find out that they are both not fully dressed yet]
    Milo: Whoa!
    Lizbeth: Oh my!
Milo and Lizbeth: Stop looking at me! My mom picked them out!
    [they then cover themselves]
    Milo: Let's just do this.
  • Stock Audio Clip: The same voice clip of Owen screaming from "I Scream, You Scram!" was recycled twice when Owen accidentally bumps into a display full of glass vases at the china department, and when he was thrown out to an elevator.
  • Suddenly Shouting: When Lizbeth is about to suggest Milo a solution after she saw Owen's zipper on his turtleneck, she was dragged off by her mom just before she tells him. Shortly after she yells out the solution, Milo then gets an idea from his "Bird Brain" to unzip Owen's turtleneck.
    Lizbeth: That was brilliant, Captain!
Milo: But, how to release him from that turtleneck maggot? Come on birdbrain! What do I do?
[Lizbeth then sees the zipper on Owen's turtleneck]
Lizbeth: That's it! Captain, all you need to do is-
    Lizbeth's Mom: Lizbeth!
    Lizbeth: Oh no!
    Lizbeth's Mom: There you are.
    Lizbeth: Undo the Neck!
