"Food for Thought" is the 19th episode of Season 7 and the 159th overall. It originally aired April 8, 2011.
Sheldon and Camille are on a date when a gourmet food truck explodes, killing the owner. Their relationship causes him issues at the lab.

Tropes for the episode:

  • Call-Back: Back in "Risk," a reference was made to being pooped on by a bird being good luck. When bird saliva is discovered on this episode's victim, Adam asks Mac if someone getting bird spit on them is good luck "just like bird sh..." Mac hastily interrupts him before he can finish the thought.
  • Long List: Just a few of the many things Lindsay tells Danny to bring her to eat are a burger, an order of fries, and a bowl of grits.
  • Mistaken for Pregnant: When Lindsay lists a whole bunch of food she wants, Danny thinks she's pregnant, but she tells him to relax because she's just really hungry.
  • Molotov Cocktail: The explosion is caused by a Molotov cocktail made from a hot sauce bottle that the perp glues to the bottom of the food truck.
  • Naked in Mink: Camille shows up to Sheldon's place dressed in nothing but a fur coat and high heels.
  • Non Fatal Explosion: Despite the crowd, the truck owner is the only fatality. Sheldon and Camille (who is a nurse) are knocked out briefly, but start helping other victims as soon as they come to.
  • Oh, Crap!: The concerned look on Danny's face when Lindsay gives him a very long list of food to bring her. It's the middle of the day and she only had a very light breakfast, but his first thought is that she's pregnant again.
  • Playing Sick: Sheldon calls in sick in order to spend time with Camille.
  • Sexy Coat Flashing: Camille, upon surprising Sheldon at his place at the end of the episode. She drops her coat to the hallway floor as Sheldon hears the elevator bell ring, revealing that she has nothing else on. He hurries her into his apartment so no one else will see her.
  • Topless From The Back: When Camille drops her coat to the floor, the camera shows her bare back, before jumping down to the backs of her bare legs and her high-heeled shoes.
  • Shipper on Deck: Jo. She and Mac watch Sheldon and Camille talking. Jo says she's definitely into him, judging by her body language, and that it could lead to "some hot, steamy sex." Turns out, she's right.
  • Smoking Hot Sex: Implied with Camille. When Sheldon wakes up late for work the morning after spending the night with her, there's a half-smoked marijuana cigarette on the nightstand on her side of the bed.
  • Supreme Chef: Sid, who provides a vital clue by identifying a weapon as an uncommon kitchen tool (which *he* says no kitchen should be without), and then tells Mac he had attended culinary school in France.
