A college athlete is found crushed under gym bleachers, requiring the team to determine who among his fellow competitors could have killed him.
Tropes:
- Distracted by the Sexy: Cam shows Angela that she and Hodgins were caught on security camera having sex in the storage room. Angela thinks it makes for pretty impressive porn.Angela: Usually with these things you think "more yoga, less carbs", but this is pretty good.
- Fingore: Downplayed. When Cutler tries to shoot himself, Brennan jams the hammer with her finger, quite painfully.
- Metaphorgotten: Coach thinks it's unreasonable of the FBI to think he would kill his golden goose. Bones points out that Manning wasn't a goose, but a man.
- Papa Wolf: Cutler killed Manning because he walked in on him having sex with his daughter, knowing he had gonorrhea.
- Revenge by Proxy: A girl who got gonorrhea from the victim, and in revenge she passed it to a basketball player who was known for happily peeing in a cup for any of his team mates.
- Rhetorical Question Blunder: Played with. Angela and Cam try to tell Bones that the victim had oral sex shortly before his death, and try to guide her there with "what does this sound like" type questions. Instead of having an epiphany she keeps answering them.
