Bob finds himself trapped in a survival emergency when his decision to help Mr. Fischoeder out as a personal chef on a rich guys' camping trip leads to them having to outrun a drugged-out member of the group; Linda decides to use Bob's left-out drink mixing supplies to teach her kids about the ins, out, and intricacies of cocktail parties.
Tropes:
- The Atoner: In the end, after the drugs in Hubert’s system wears off, he offers to pay the medical bills of everybody he bit during his episode.
- The Bait: After making him captain, the Babylons tie Bob to a table and cover him in meat to lure out Hubert. Calvin feels sorry for him and unties him, but later, Bob willingly makes himself the bait again so they can capture Hubert and escape the island.
- Big Storm Episode: The Babylons camping trip takes place the night of a big storm. Bob is worried, but Calvin assures him that they'll "take care of it", although how they possibly could is never explained and was clearly Calvin being his delusional self. Naturally, they are trapped in the island during the storm, with no cell reception or working boats; and on top of everything there's Hubert going insane and stalking them.
- The Bus Came Back: August "Auggie" Scharffenheimer, Randolph Brackenbrown, and Samuel Summerbottom, Mr. Fischoeder's rich friends from the gingerbread house building competition in "The Last Gingerbread House on the Left", make a return as members of the Babylons camping trip and retreat. A Call-Back is also made to their excessive use of guns.
- Cell Phones Are Useless: The Babylons made sure there was no reception on the island so their revelry would go on uninterrupted. This bites them in the ass when a storm hits and Hubert is stalking them.
- Delusions of Doghood: Hubert has a bad reaction to the drugs the Babylons were taking, causing him to act like a wild wolf, howling and biting people.
- Freak Out: Tina has a moment of this when she's unable to recall all the many topics Linda told her kids, except Tina ends up listing out all the topics during her little freaking out moment, much to Linda's satisfaction.
- Full-Frontal Assault: Hubert spends most of the episode attacking and biting Bob and the other attendees while wearing only damp jockey shorts.
- Not So Remote: Fischoeder has Bob blindfolded on the boat trip to the island so he doesn't reveal its location. The trip took an hour, so when they're leaving, Bob figures that it will take them that long to reach land. Turns out the island is only five minutes away; Fischoeder went around the island several times to make Bob think it was further from the mainland than it really was.
- Only Sane Man: Bob is the only one left in the island who is sober, so they name him captain. Fat lot of good it does him, as he's still at the mercy of a bunch of drug-addled clueless millionaires who outvote him on every decision.
- Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The title is a homonym of the Dawson's Creek episode "Escape from Witch Island."
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: All of the other participants and their chefs desert the island the moment a storm is coming, except the really drugged-out Babylons and a sober Bob remain behind out of luck.
- Shout-Out:
- The burger of the day is called "The Corn Identity."
- At the mocktail party Gene suggests dropping their keys in a bowl because "It's what people do when they want to meet Sigourney Weaver."
- Simple Solution Won't Work: When Bob asks why the Babylons don’t just use the numerous amounts of guns that they clearly had at the ready during the gingerbread house building competition to help defend themselves, Mr. Fischoeder explains that none of them were allowed to bring their guns with them because their insurance can cover for guns or drugs, but not both at the same time.
