Go To

The kids become a part of a crustacean-themed wrestling show. Meanwhile, Linda tries to form a 21-day habit.

Tropes:

  • Acquaintance Denial: Teddy pretends the Belcher kids didn't come with him when he sees them messing around the ring.
  • Bland-Name Product: The "Crustacean Nation Wrestling Federation" wrestling show bares more than a slight resemblance to Kaiju Big Battel.
  • Call-Back:
    • Gene sees someone in a crustacean costume and says "I'm allergic to you!", referencing his Plot Allergy from "Lobsterfest".
    • To participate in the wrestling show, Tina and Louise reuse their pickle costumes from "Paraders of the Lost Float" while Gene reuses his purple pickle costume from "Poops!... I Didn't Do It Again". Louise also alludes to the fact that Linda only had purple fabric left when she made the latter, which Linda mentioned in its original appearance.
  • *Crack!* "Oh, My Back!": Teddy's back gives out while performing in the kids' final show, rendering him unable to stand and forcing Bob and Linda to take the stage so that it ends on a good note.
  • Epic Fail:
    • The kids' debut in the ring goes disastrously, as they're completely uncoordinated and have no idea what they're doing.
    • See Tina's own performance, especially when she constantly fails to fall on Teddy but falls straight on the floor instead.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The title is a play on the sitcom Absolutely Fabulous.
  • Pro Wrestling Episode: The closest the show has come to one, with the kids joining a costumed wrestling show.
  • Serious Business: The conflict of the episode's second act stems from Louise taking the wrestling show much more seriously than her siblings, who get worn out from the constant rehearsal and are less than enthused when they learn Carol intends to take their show on the road. Louise snaps out of it when Teddy gets injured, deciding to retire because it's clear everyone else isn't really enjoying it as much (though she whispers to Carol that she still intends to make a return with the rest anyway).
  • Shout-Out:
  • That Came Out Wrong: When explaining to Carol that Teddy isn't the kids' father, Gene makes it sound like Teddy kidnapped them before Tina clarifies that he's a friend of their dad.
  • Wrestling Family: The Belcher kids act as this.
