Tropes in this episode:

  • Abusive Parents: The parents of the homeless busker would apparently give her a black eye and broken arm if she came back to them.
  • Brand X: The "Ptolemy" Smart Device that Sharon buys appears to be a thinly veiled reference to the Amazon Alexa.
  • Cell Phones Are Useless: There's conviently no signal when the girls get trapped in a Church.
  • Christmas Episode: It's the 11th in total and is set on Christmas.
  • Eat the Evidence: Dorien does this with one of her diamond earrings when the police come.
  • Extra-Long Episode: It's 45 minutes in total.
  • Special Guest: Emily Atack.
  • Status Quo Is God: Tracey intends to sell off the house and downsize but is luckily saved from this by Dorien buying the house.
  • Virtual Assistant Blunder: The Ptolemy smart device keeps mishearing everything that Sharon says as the "Billericay Tennis Club". Inversely, when Sharon asks what is the best place to play tennis in Billericay, it hears it as "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day".
