Big Time Beach Party is an episode from Season 2 of Big Time Rush
After the boys get a hit record, they decide to celebrate by bringing the Palm Woods gang to Griffin's Malibu beach house for a beach party. While there, Logan and Carlos hunt for treasure with a familiar friendly pirate, James falls for a girl suspected to be a mermaid in disguise, and Kendall's relationship with Jo hits a roadblock. Meanwhile, Gustavo is worried the beach party will cause BTR to split up like what happened with another boy band he produced, so he tries to sabotage their fun, while Katie tries to become the manager of Russel Brand.
Tropes:
- Abhorrent Admirer: Sandy falls in love with Kendall at first sight, but the problem is that he is already taken. His attempts to get Sandy off his tail only makes things worse with Jo and Sandy's boyfriend Tad assuming he stole his girl just add to his troubles.
- All for Nothing: Logan, Carlos and Patchy manage to find the treasure, only for Griffin to confiscate it since the three destroyed a room in his beach house and damaged his car in trying to get it.
- Crossover: With Spongebob Squarepants of all things due to Patchy showing up and hanging with Logan and Carlos to find treasure.
- Dance Party Ending: The episode ends with the band performing a cover of the Beach Boys' "Dance, Dance, Dance" at Russel Brand's beach party.

- Exact Words: BTR get to throw a beach party at Griffin's Malibu beach house if they ever get a #1 single. Griffin points out that the #1 single was in Kerplankistan, to which the boys state he never specified where they got the single.
- History Repeats: According to Gustavo, a band called Boy Blast threw a beach party at a beach house in Malibu following the success of their first album. Because of that, they became too lazy to focus on other projects, resulting in them breaking up after the third album. When Gustavo receives a video call from BTR where they let him know they won't be coming back for a while, this worries him into believing the band will suffer the same fate Boy Blast did, so he tries to sabotage the beach party.
- It's the Best Whatever, Ever!: BTR and the gang hope to have the "best beach day ever". Gustavo plots to turn it into the "worst beach day ever" so the band doesn't suffer the same fate as Boy Blast.
- Special Guest: Russell Brand, who happens to host a beach party of his own.
