More Bens, more problems.
"Ben" is acting strangely, which gets him noticed by Kevin and Gwen. As it turns out, "Ben" is actually a Galvan named Albedo, who got turned into Ben because of his own Omnitrix and will do anything to return to his orginal form.- A Pupil of Mine Until He Turned to Evil: Albedo turns out to have been a former assistant of Azmuth's, before his greedy and vain personality caused him to defect and try to create his own Omnitrix.
- Aliens Love Human Food: Due to Albedo turning into Ben, he gets his impulses as well as his taste in food. He especially likes chili fries.
- Brick Joke: Kevin believes Ben’s alibi because his left eye twitches when he lies. When Albedo provides a bogus explanation on how to remove the Omnitrix from Ben’s wrist, his left eye twitches, which Ben takes note of.
- The Bus Came Back. Azmuth, who only appeared in Secret of the Omnitrix before, returns here and deactivates Albedo's Omnitrix. He would later return in War of the Worlds.
- Exact Words: Albedo claims that he built the Omnitrix when he first meets Ben. As Azmuth clarifies, he built his own copy at least (and
Word of God is that he was responsible for the software of the real deal, giving that claim some credulity) - Fate Worse than Death: At the end of the episode, Albedo has his Omnitrix copy destroyed, trapping him in his photonegative Ben Tennyson form permanently. He screams his hatred for Azmuth as he's teleported to jail.
- Hormone-Addled Teenager: Part of Albedo's disgust with being stuck in Ben's human form is that he ends up scratching himself in places he suspects are inappropriate.Gwen: Wow, he really is you.
- Humanity Ensues: Due to a weird connection between Ben's and Albedo's Omnitrixes, the two of them regard Ben's human form as the wielder's "default form", which resulted in Albedo turning into Ben and not being able to return to his original form. And he's not happy about it.
- Noodle Incident: Albedo took down two Forever Knight castles and a DNAlien hive prior to the episode, but the details of these are not given. It is assumed that he was also searching for information on Ben’s whereabouts.
- Oh, Crap!: After fighting a tough battle with Ben, Albedo is horrified when he realizes Azmuth is coming for him.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Played with. Upon discovering the Forever Knights castle completely wrecked with Jetray leaving it, Gwen and Kevin wonder what is happening with Ben. Of course, from their perspective they don't know this isn't actually Ben.
- Palette Swap: After both of them turn into their human forms, Ben and Albedo throw fists at each other and their Omnitrixes link up, turning Albedo into a palette-swapped version of Ben.Kevin: No confusing those two now.
- Too Much Information: As Albedo rants to Ben, Gwen, and Kevin about being trapped in Ben's teenage human body, he concludes saying he is constantly "scratching myself in places I suspect are inappropriate".
- Wham Line: In the teaser, "Ben" absolutely wrecks the Forever Knights' castle and finishes it by asking "Where is Ben Tennyson?", signifying that this is certainly not Ben.
