Recap / Beavis And Butthead S 8 E 5 Holy Cornholio

Go To

A cult believes Beavis's Cornholio persona is the reincarnation of their deceased leader.

  • But Now I Must Go: Cornholio politely says this to some cultists after screaming at them for being bungholes.
  • Comically Missing the Point: Beavis and Butt-Head lose out at scoring because they don't realize the meaning of the word "conception" and cut off Mona before she can explain it.
  • Cult Colony: Beavis and Butt-Head are taken to one.
  • Dirty Old Man: The previous Beloved, Myron Turtlebaum, was an old, wrinkly man who enjoyed having sex with his young followers, and even tried to have sex with Mona on his deathbed under the guise of sharing his "sacred essence."
  • Dramatic Irony: Beavis tells the cult that Stewart is now the Beloved, and to bother him... just in time for the Great Conception, which involves the cult leader having sex with all of his female followers.
  • Foreshadowing: The cult members regret that they can't get Cornholio more painkillers. Several hours later, they wear off and Beavis is back to normal.
  • Gave Up Too Soon: A combo of this and Beavis turning back to normal means the boys can't score.
  • Messianic Archetype: Played With. Cornholio clearly isn't one, but the cult believes him to be one, thinking his ramblings are speaking in tongues or asking riddles like the previous Beloved, and that the markings on Beavis's hands from the screw are a holy stigmata.
  • Mistaken for Profound: The cult constantly thinks Cornholio's rantings are this, or he is trying to test his followers using riddles. Special mention goes to a small group gathered in prayer, wondering why he calls himself both Cornholio and The Almighty Bunghole.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Beavis and Butt-Head leave the cult after Beavis returns to normal, Beavis because he's exhausted, and Butt-Head because he thinks the girls in the cult care more about talking about spiritual blessings, not scoring.
  • Toilet Paper Prank: Under Cornholio's orders, the followers waste all of their money on toilet paper and throw several rolls throughout the trees.
