Taro: Don Onitaijin and Toradragonjin form a transcendental combination, gaining a new power.
Its name: Toradora Onitaijin!

Taro receives a notice from the Nōto Council, who invite him to attend Sonoi's upcoming funeral. Despite the other Donbrothers' concerns that it might be a trap, Taro decides to accept the invitation. He is then transported to Ideon, where he finds himself — upon arrival — the recipient of the Council's gracious hospitality, waited on hand and foot by maids and manservants.

Meanwhile, Don Murasame appears to help an Anoni, who is attacked by the Jūto. Jiro intervenes and tries to fight back, but the other Jiro and Murasame feel a connection to one another...

Tropes

  • Bait-and-Switch: When Taro decides to accept the Council's invitation, he adds that he has some choice words for them, setting up a confrontation between him and the culprits behind his clan's massacre. It turns out he just wanted to chew them out for spoiling his meal.
  • Blood Knight: Anyone hijacked by the Ninjark Sword becomes this, lashing out at all around them.
  • Character Tic: Even when he's possessed by the Ninjark Sword, Shinichi cannot resists reciting a haiku.
  • Death Seeker: Don Torabolt abandons his fight with Murasame after sensing his sorrow again, thinking he's this.
Torabolt: You wanna die, don't you? I'm not wasting my time fighting someone like that.
  • Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life: Murasame espouses on this once more, wondering what it "means to live." It's so overpowering that he disregards Mother's orders and fraternizes with the two Jiros, listening intently to their backstory.
  • Deus ex Machina: While attempting to transform after being depowered, Taro picks up the Ninjarksword that fell right next to him. Instead of going berserk like the others before him, Taro regains his lost powers instead.
  • Enemy Mine: Murasame briefly sides with the Donbrothers to help fight Bakuryuu-Ki since he was bonding with Jiro and wants to help him so they can finish their conversation but his energy was mostly depleted earlier and he reverts back to sword form before he can really help much.
  • Escalating Chase: Miho/The Crane Juto stumbles into a possessed Tsubasa whilst pursuing the Cat Juto (who himself was pursuing Tsubasa).
  • Lost Food Grievance: Having the funeral invitation hidden inside Taro's sandwich killed his appetite and soured his mood for the majority of his time in Ideon. He calms down after forcing the Council members to eat the rest of his sandwich.
  • Mundane Solution: Sonoza's method to handling the Ninjarksword without getting possessed is just covering it with manga pages.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: When Taro learns that "Sonoi" was only a copy, he isn't his usual jovial self, outright telling the Council "Don't make me laugh!"
  • Properly Paranoid: The other Donbrothers warn Taro that attending the funeral could be a trap. It was. Right after Sonoi's funeral procession, the Council uses a golem of Sonoi's armor to drain Taro's power.
  • The Reveal:
  • Too Spicy for Yog-Sothoth: Somehow, Taro is able to use the Ninjarksword without falling prey to its possession, and even uses it to recharge his powers after having his essence drained by the Nōto Council.
  • Two Lines, No Waiting: The A plot deals with Taro deciding to visit Sonoi's funeral after receiving an invitation, while the B plot deals with Don Murasame developing self-awareness juxtaposed with the Ninjarksword going on a possession spree.
  • Villain Takes an Interest: Despite Torabolt deeming Murasame too emotionally-compromised to fight, Murasame goes against his Mother's orders and opens a dialog - bonding with the twin Jiros over their seeking of purpose.
  • Wham Shot:
    • The Ninjarksword actually impaling the Juto, with the Juto screaming in agony as it disintegrates.
    • Sonoi wakes up with glowing red eyes after his coffin is filled with Don Momotaro's essence.
  • Xanatos Gambit: Sending a puppet of Sonoi's armor against Taro benefits the Nōto Council by either killing him or giving them an opportunity to De-power him if he wins.
