• A-Cup Angst: Courtney wants to be able to wear bikinis but her breasts haven't developed yet - so she stuffs her bra with tissue, and bubble wrap for the bikini.
• Beach Episode: The pool variant. Macie has to throw an impromptu pool party.
• Big Bad Duumvirate: Andrea and Chantelle play the antagonists for this episode.
• Brick Joke: Dodie alludes to setting up a "makeout room" for the pool party. Later at the party, Macie walks in on two people in such a room.
• Brief Accent Imitation: Courtney puts on a French accent multiple times.
• Chekhov's Gun: Blake ordering Einstein's DNA ends up giving Courtney the idea to stuff her bikini with bubble wrap.
• Green-Eyed Monster: Andrea and Chantelle's dislike of Courtney comes mainly from her flirting with Will Patterson.
• Hate Sink: Andrea and Chantelle are two mean Alpha Bitches who bully Macie and conspire to humiliate Courtney just because she talked to the boy they like.
• Hidden Depths: Courtney is often sold as the Brainless Beauty, but here she appears to be advanced enough in French to attend a high school class.
• Hope Spot: Ginger prepares to tell Courtney what the girls are planning, but she won't listen. Courtney lampshades this after it's all happened.
• Laser-Guided Karma:
  • Well it's not much, but Andrea and Chantelle's plan to de-bikini Courtney amounts to nothing when Macie covers her - and the lifeguard ends the party as punishment for their actions. Will then snaps "way to go, losers" - implying Andrea and Chantelle will take all the blame for ruining the party. Not to mention they pissed off the boy they like.
  • Also minor but Courtney basically said Macie was having the party without asking her - so of course she ends up the target of a nasty prank.
• Loophole Abuse: Macie can't tell anyone about the planned prank on Courtney, so she acts it out via charades to get Ginger and Dodie's help.
• Moment Killer: Macie proves to be one when she interrupts a makeout session.
  "Shame on you, Gregor Smith! Your mother teaches Sunday School."
• Nipple and Dimed: Just as Courtney's bikini top comes off, Macie covers her with a pool ring, and her nipples are not shown. Justified since saving her from humiliation was the goal.
• Sadistic Choice: Macie has to either reveal the secret and face endless bullying and harassment from Andrea and Chantelle, or let Courtney be humiliated at the party. She and friends of course Take a Third Option - have the party and keep Courtney away from the girls.
• Sweet and Sour Grapes: Blake buys the Einstein DNA so that Carl and Hoodsey can't use it for their project. They opt to substitute with DNA samples from other people to compare to Einstein in a vain attempt to win. It turns out Mrs Gordon disqualifies Blake for simply buying something rather than conducting a study - which is what science is supposed to be.
• Wardrobe Malfunction: What Andrea and Chantelle are planning - de-bikini Courtney to expose her as a bra stuffer and humiliate her in front of the whole class.
• What Happened to the Mouse?: Miranda doesn't go to the pool party, despite being Courtney's best friend - and Ginger, Dodie and Darren being there meaning it wasn't just restricted to the French class.
• Wild Teen Party: Well thankfully the protagonists are able to keep it from getting too wild - and they have a lifeguard who pulls the plug when Andrea and Chantelle try to de-bikini Courtney.
