While trying to come up with a poem for the school arts fair, Ginger receives a belated graduation card from her estranged father, who wants to be around more in the future, so she invites him to hear her new poem "Hello Stranger" at the arts fair.
Meanwhile, Lois accidentally drinks a pitcher of Carl's liquid sea snake, mistaking it for lemonade and has to stay in the hospital the night of the arts fair. Carl then gets bit by Brandon's monkey at school and starts acting like a monkey and has to stay at the hospital, too.

- Big "NO!": Carl does one after finding out that Lois drank part of his sea snake mix, which is so loud that Ginger comes running downstairs.
- Crashing Dreams: Lois's nightmare ends when Doctor Dave and the snake say "It's 7:15, time to get up." Cue Lois waking up to a radio DJ wishing everyone a good morning.
