Go To

Airdate: May 12, 2013

Klaus finds his human body and begs Stan to return him into it, but when the body turns out to be rotting, Klaus knocks Stan out and puts his brain into Stan's body while Stan lives life as a fish. Meanwhile, Roger badgers Steve into joining his attic gym.

This episode includes examples of:

  • Brick Joke: Klaus (in Stan's body) punches Hayley in the face. Hayley does the same to him near the end.
  • Calling Your Attacks: PUNCH IN THE FACE!
  • The Cameo: Steve accidentally calls Judi Dench, and apparently talked to her for some time to her confusion.
  • Funny Answering Machine: Steve arrives in his room to suddenly find an answering machine next to his bed, which has messages for him. All of the messages are from Roger pestering him to join his gym, culminating in him getting in a car accident and then shooting people in a courthouse.
  • Hugh Mann: Subverted. Klaus claims that years of studying Stan will allow him to flawlessly take his place, but all he does is say "Hi!" and Francine and Hayley immediately realize what's happened.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: After Stan's callousness results in Klaus' body getting decomposed, his own body gets misused by Klaus in a number of ways, from having sex with prostitutes to taking very long drags on cigarettes.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: Roger spends the entire episode trying to get Steve to join his gym. Eventually, Steve relents, figuring it will be good to get in shape. But right as he's about to start, he finds that Roger has turned the attic into a Chinese restaurant. Oh, and Steve is now his employee due to a very specific clause in the gym membership terms.
  • Shout-Out: During the answering machine messages, Roger calls Steve "Stefan Urkel."
  • Voices Are Mental: Stan and Klaus keep their voices even after changing bodies.
  • Would Hit a Girl: Klaus punches Hayley in the face when she demands that he give Stan his body back.
