The imagizer blurred, then resolved into the hideous green face of a frog-like humanoid. His body was swollen with thick layers of blubber, frilly gills puffed from the sides of his neck, and he wore a bright red watchcap on his head.
"'Allo?" said the frog-man in a thick French accent. "Zis ees Deep Sea Nine. Who ees eet?"
"Captain Proton of the Space Rangers. What on Earth are you?"
"Don' you mean: Vaat een Sea are you? Two-thirds of zees planet ees covered een water, you soil-centered eediot!" The creature hawked into a black spittoon. "I am an aquanaut! Why do you theenk I 'ave thees outrageous accent, you silly Queen of Rocket Men?"
