"But who is Chapulin Colorado? Who is this hero who surpasses the deeds of He-Man, Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Camera Man, et cete-ran, et cete-ran, et cete-ran? Everything began when the people of Latin America realized the urgence of having a local hero. Our own hero. A hero who spoke our own language. In other words, a hero like you and me. (...) A hero who is capable of facing danger and coming to the aid of anyone in need."
—Dr. Chapatin, "A Conference about Chapulin"
(A mini Chapulin pretends to be the conscience of a deluded old man who thinks he is Chapulin)
Monchito: Who did you say you are?
Chapulin: Your conscience!
Monchito: Even though I don't have one?
Chapulin: Small but better than nothing.
Monchito: That's ok, that's ok. ...But don't say you're thinking about giving me advice?
Chapulin: Yes, it's precisely for that that I've come.
Monchito: What a shame. I was doing just fine.
Chapulin: No, you're mistaken. One can't be fine if they're not at peace with their own conscience.
Monchito: I see. I see. But then, what must I do to live well?
Chapulin: Consult your doctor.
Monchito: ...
Chapulin: Anyway, the most important thing is to not try to be somebody else.
Monchito: ...What do you mean?
Chapulin: That you're not Chapulin Colorado. (...) You're Monchito, don't you remember?
Monchito: But I don't want to be Monchito. I want to be like Chapulin Colorado, who does important things! ...Monchito does nothing of worth.
Chapulin: You are mistaken! To do something kind, whatever it is, is to do something important. A carpenter who does his job does something important. A bricklayer who helps build a house, a teacher who educates children, a vigilant policeman, a taxi driver who drives cautiously, a receptionist who receives guests well, a burocrat who does honest work, a worker, a nurse, an artisan... All of them do very important things, without which we could not live.
Monchito: Well, maybe! (...) You know, Chapulin, I once was a health inspector. I never did anything bad, nor did I ever get a cent to turn a blind eye.
Chapulin: Then you did something much more important than anything Chapulin Colorado ever did.
Monchito: Chapulin Colorado? Ahhh, yes, yes, the guy who appears on TV! Give him my regards when you see him! Bye!
Chapulin: ...Good guys, follow me! (Fades into a TV and leaves, bidding the viewer farewell)
