- Subverted: Alice tries to throw an apple at the Big Bad, but Bob tells her to run away.

- Alice and Bob throw all the fruit and vegetables in sight at someone at every opportunity.
- Alice and Bob invoke this trope and does it racially by throwing stereotypical foods at peoples of different races.
