Basic Trope: The heterosexual partner/relationship who makes a gay or lesbian character realizing they aren't straight and coming out.
- Straight: Adrian and Bella were in a relationship. One day, Adrian tells Bella that he is gay, and no longer has any relationship with women.
- Exaggerated:
- Adrian and Bella have been in a relationship quite long time. One day, both Adrian and Bella tell each other that they are gay, they completely break up and never see each other again.
- Adrian was in relationships with roughly 500 women, after he met Bella, he immediately realizes he is completely gay, and he went from being a Manly Man to being extremely Camp Gay.
- Similar to above, but Adrian makes all of his ex-girlfriends discover that they are lesbians.
- Downplayed:
- Bella is the only one person who ever had relationship with Adrian, but after short-term relationship, Adrian decides to tell the truth about his Incompatible Orientation with her.
- Adrian always knows he is gay, but he cheats on Bella for Charles.

- Adrian is closeted gay and have done relationship with Bella to cover the fact that he is gay, but he can't suppress his sexuality in the way too long, so he decides to tell the truth.
