Basic Trope: A work doesn't have as much profanity or obscene language in its later installments.
- Straight: The New Zachary and Yolanda Show has much less profanity than the original series, The Zachary and Yolanda Show.
- Exaggerated: The Zachary and Yolanda Show featured a Cluster F-Bomb every few seconds, but in The New Zachary and Yolanda Show the characters speak so nicely that even the most devout of nuns would think they're being too clean.
- Downplayed:
- There was no swearing in either show, but the original series had a lot of insults or rude humor that were significantly dropped from the reboot.
- There's still a fair deal of swearing in The New Zachary and Yolanda Show, but still much less than the original show had.
- The Zachary and Yolanda Show had a scene where a character dropped a swear word. The New Zachary and Yolanda Show, however, does away with any profanity.

- For whatever reason, the new series involves swearing less as a plot point.
- The New Zachary and Yolanda Show introduces a young child named Winston as one of the main characters, and Zachary and Yolanda don't want to swear in front of him.

- Parodied: A Running Gag is Zachary and Yolanda trying to continue their swearing, only to be interrupted.

- Some episodes of The New Zachary and Yolanda Show have swearing, and some don't.
- The profanity is left in on some dubs of the show, but not others.
