Basic Trope: Trainees are mustered into battle early out of desperation.
- Straight: As Tropeland's Psi Squadron rains hell down on a Wikistan Air Base, the Player Character Beta 44 is forced to deploy early along with the other Beta Squadron Pilots, most of whom are just as inexperienced as Beta 44.
- Exaggerated: Tropeland's Psi Squadron is raining hell down on a Wikistan Air Base. Beta 44 is deployed, and only Beta 44, even though he's just some random ass kid who was mistaken for the real Beta 44 after Falling into the Cockpit!
- Downplayed: Beta 44 is only told to mount an Anti-Air gun, and help shoot down the Psi Squadron.
- Justified: Psi Squadron is decimating the Wikistan Air Base. They're going to need all the planes they've got, even if a few pilots are inexperienced.
- Inverted: Psi Squadron rains hell down on a Wikistan Air Base. The Player Character Reaper 1 (actually a grown up Beta 44) is forced to stay back as Alpha Squadron swoops in and takes care of Psi Squadron.
- Subverted: Before Beta 44 can take off, he find out that Psi Squadron had already been defeated, which probably meant that him getting into the plane was All for Nothing...
- Double Subverted: ...And then another wave of Psi Squadron planes shows up. Hey, at least Beta 44 can actually fight for once!
- Parodied: Literal Eldritch Abominations and even the old Goddess Troperia starts raining hell on Wikistan. For some godforsaken reason, Beta 44 (and not even the real Beta 44, but a literal child), is sent out to fight all of these things at once.
- Zig-Zagged: Beta 44 is in the Air Base, but the battle for struggle up in the skies tend to fluctuate between Alpha Squadron driving Psi Squadron out and Psi Squadron coming back in. Eventually, Omega Squadron gets involved, and it swiftly becomes a Sky-Consuming Dogfight up there.
- Averted: Psi Squadron rains hell down on a Wikistan Air Base, but Beta 44 doesn't get involved.
