- Straight: Team Trope is made up of the best tropers in the world.
- Exaggerated: Team Trope is made up of the best tropers in the known universe.
- Downplayed: Team Trope is made up of the best tropers in the city, state or country.
- Justified: The mission is Serious Business, and failure is not an option. Sending in the best is the most rational choice.
- Inverted: Team Trope is a nightmare team of the worst tropers in the world.
- Subverted: Team Trope is told they're assembled from the best in the world when it turns out to be all a prank.
- Double Subverted: The prank, in turn, was just a test of confidence on the part of the Big Good.
- Parodied: Team Trope consists of the best tropers in the world...on a mission to do laundry.
- Zig Zagged: Team Trope is made up of the best tropers in the world...who face a galactic scale villain and are wiped out easily. With the decoy protagonists safely out of the story, then another dream team, Trope Brigade, engages the villain with extremely random levels of competence, and witness both ends of Curbstomp Battle until it turns out it was all just a dream.
- Averted: Team Trope is just a normal team.
- Enforced: "How can we make the team more interesting? By making them the best, that's how!"
- Lampshaded: "You know, it feels good to be on a team of the best of the best."
- Invoked: The Big Good uses his extensive intelligence network to contact those he believes will have the skills to complete the mission.
- Exploited: The Big Bad actually leads the Big Good to make a dream team so they'll all be in one place to die from a super weapon strike.
- Defied: Everyone refuses to join the team, claiming that they all work alone.
- Discussed: "I've always wanted to be part of a dream team."
- Conversed: "I hate it how we only see the efforts of the best. It alienates the common viewer."
- Deconstructed: A good team is more than just finding the very best and sticking them on the roster — they have to be able to work well together, and the egos tend to be as sizeable as the talent. Team Trope disappoints as they devolve into constant in-fighting and petty outside fanboy rivalries.
- Reconstructed: If you're going to get the best ingredients, you're going to need the best chef to make it all work together the way you want. Pick the best coaches and support staff to put together the best plan that maximizes all of the roster's best talents while getting them to practice and understand how to work in tandem while lay off their egos in the pursuit of the higher goal, and now you have a truly unstoppable team.
