Basic Trope: An incredibly patriotic wrestling face representing the country the wrestling scene is set in.

  • Straight: One of Troperia's most prominent wrestling faces is The Masked Troper. He always waves the Troperian flag when entering the ring, embodies the Troperian virtues of determination (he never surrenders) and honor (he always fights fair), and always recites the country's official motto when he wins.
  • Exaggerated: Pretty much every wrestling face in Troperia is some flavor or another of patriotic.
  • Downplayed: The Masked Troper often carries a Troperian flag, but is otherwise not that much more patriotic than the other wrestlers.
  • Justified: ???
  • Inverted:
    • Foreign Wrestling Heel
    • The Masked Troper is a nationalistic wrestling heel who embodies an extremist ideology and acts as a cautionary figure for people not to let their cultural and national sense of belonging give way to hateful views.
  • Subverted: ???
  • Double Subverted: ???
  • Parodied: The Masked Troper is a lighthearted caricature of Troperians, embodying perceived cultural flaws and playing to national stereotypes while always starting matches by getting thrashed around, but he usually gains a Heroic Second Wind and comes out on top by embracing Troperian determination, and the audience loves him despite everything.
  • Zig-Zagged: The Masked Troper is a Heel–Face Revolving Door who switches between embodying his country's values and becoming disillusioned with them.
  • Averted: There are no wrestlers representing specific countries or nations.
  • Enforced: Due to a perceived national identity crisis, the Troperian government gives incentives to the country's wrestling federation to introduce a patriotic wrestler in a bid to inspire the people.
  • Lampshaded: ???
  • Invoked: ???
  • Exploited: ???
  • Defied: ???
  • Discussed: ???
  • Conversed: ???
  • Implied: ???
  • Deconstructed:
  • Reconstructed: The Masked Troper adapts to his country's evolving culture and embraces current values while integrating the virtues of times past adjusted to avoid clashing with modern views, all of which allows him to Win Back the Crowd while still being recognizable as the same character.
