In spite of it being a comedy about two inane brothers, Strange Brew is still focused around a conspiracy to control the entire world via special chemicals added to beer and the conspirators are willing to do anything including murder to get their objectives completed.
- Pam being stuck in the gate as it generates electric sparks, which would've led to her being electrocuted to death had it not been for Doug and Bob saving her in the nick of time.
- When Pam and Henry discover the edited footage, they find Smith choking her father to death after the latter confronts Smith about his scheme.
- The way the institutionalized patients were brainwashed into mindless drones to attack others, and the darker implications of Smith's plan had it succeeded - possibly leading to anarchy had it not been stopped.
- Pam is strapped to a bed about to be lobotomized, accompanied by mad laughter and a patient's screams about being spared. Given Smith's character, it's very likely some of the patients are actually innocents that he deliberately detained in order to be experimented on.
- When Claude attempts to back out of the plan, Smith grabs his head and tells him that the only reason he's not crushing his head is that he still needs him for said plan - which he makes very clear as loud cracking noises are heard.
- Later, on Smith's orders, Claude is tasked to kill Rosie - but when a patient attempts to warn the nurse about the attempted murder, Claude decides to euthanize the other patient instead with seemingly no guilt. He certainly had the stomach for murder after all.
