Nightmare Fuel / Snaiad

• The Fuckers. Ferocious apex predators on Snaiad that kill their prey not with saber-teeth or bladelike claws...but with a sharp bony spike on their crotches, which they put into use by literally humping their victims to death. Herbert Garrison would be proud.
  • One particular species of fucker, the Mavri, is aggressive and intelligent, even by fucker standards, and it's known to prey on Allotaurs- the Snaiad equivalent of rhinos and elephants! It's even among the few species that actively hunt humans despite little reason to do so, and it became a local scourge that killed numerous people while adapting to any repellent thrown at them. It eventually got to the point that settlements purposefully hunted them to extinction, one of the only times a species was intentionally persecuted.
• On a similar vein is the aptly-named Rape Turtle, a Turtiforme predator with an ungodly amount of Spikes of Villainy on various parts of its body. Though instead of the Fuckers' sharp and efficient killing spike, it has a collection of unwieldy blades on its pelvic skid region, and finishes off its prey by slowly and painfully rasping their flesh away with its skid.
• The See-Rex, Thalassia's apex predator, whose arms have morphed into a powerful set of crunching jaws, with its armpit nostrils coming to look uncannily like eyes.
• The Torpedicthys. Picture the shark from Jaws, but jet-propelled and with a need to eat constantly. It's even known to take on the giant Cardiocetes, marine creatures bigger than a blue whale!
• According to Snaiadi paleontology, there was apparently a mass extinction so horrific that the only lifeforms that survived were pond scum. It's currently unknown what it exactly was or what caused it, leaving only speculation on what happened.
• While it's likely outdated, concept text for the Turtletank, a shelled animal that spews nerve gas, notes that the defensive abilities and behavior of it and other Notor wildlife are unnecessary considering the lack of environmental pressure, and it was likely caused by an extremely deadly predator that's likely extinct. It's never stated what said predators were either.
