Hagen: What do you think they want?
Kora: Everything.

Rebel Moon might have been conceived to fit in Star Wars at one point, but from what is shown so far, its kind of war has more in common with less family-friendly stories such as Dune and Warhammer 40,000.

  • Atticus Noble is not your classic incompetent officer. He's not Tarkin either. This man is a Frontline General who has no qualms about getting his hands dirty. He will maintain the peace at any cost, whether he has to slaughter one villager, or the entire village. It's telling that those who have seen early screenings of the movie have compared him with the likes of Amon Goethe and Hans Landa. As Ed Skrein describes him adequately:
Ed Skrein: When we meet Noble, we meet a man with an incredible amount of military power, might, and an arsenal behind him. We meet a man with a fleet, a commander of the king's gaze, and a fleet of soldiers. We meet a man with a pistol on his hip, and we meet a man who chooses to use his tongue as his weapon. A man who chooses to give people enough rope to let them hang themselves. And then sometimes there's a small, very sharp burst of violence, but most of the time it's a performative, eloquent, almost thespian, verbal, intellectual violence.

     August 2023 Teaser
  • The arrival of the Imperium on Veldt. Kora desperately rings the bell to warn her people, but she knows there is no reasoning with them. What the Imperium want, they take. And they want EVERYTHING.
    • In what appears to be the aftermath of a battle, Kora is forced to flee her hometown, which has been burned to the ground.
  • Kora's time as a soldier was hardly glorious. It only lasts a few seconds, but it's enough to remind us that War Is Hell. And the Imperium has brought said Hell to an untold number of planets across the galaxy.
  • Harmada, the Spider-Queen. For one, she towers the other characters. And she's also fast for a creature of her size, as evidenced during her fight with Nemesis. Whether she's a friend or a foe to the Rebels, if you have arachnophobia, she will haunt your dreams.
    • And there's an added layer of fear to her in that, because of her infertility, she has kidnapped several children to make up for it. One can only imagine how many kids she has taken before the rebels meet her, or what she's done to any of them.
  • As shown in the page image, the Motherworld will not tolerate rebellion or the aid of rebellion. One planet that offers aid the Rebels is utterly scorched on Noble's orders, as the price of their defiance towards the Imperium.
