Rebel Moon is guaranteed to be as adventurous as it as dramatic. This was made by the same man who made Army of the Dead, after all.
Trailers and Teasers
- The very first shots feature Jimmy looking over an empty wheat field, narrating to us what became of the galaxy. There were tales of Issa, the princess who supposed to bring about an age of peace and compassion. Instead she was killed before coming of age, along with her family. Jimmy was built as a loyal servant to the royal family, but all he has now is the love for this girl that he could not protect. He now exists without a purpose, without a reason to go on.
- The mournful song in the opening of the teaser is actually Djimon Hounsou's General Titus character, singing with grief in the movie after he goes into exile as a gladiator.
- Kora is shown as a child, being taken from her home, while her people are enslaved and their monuments are destroyed.
- Kora's life in general: after being kidnapped, she was raised to be a warrior; during that time she fell in love, only to lose her partner and decide that Love Is a Weakness.
- When she realizes the Imperium have come to Veldt, Kora's face is filled with panic and despair, as she is about to lose her home all over again.
- In a further released teaser, Kora reveals simple desires such as family, were beaten out of her by the Imperium and questions how the harsh lessons from those times will ever change.
- Nemesis seems to have failed to protect a child of her own. As well as the village she lived in, which lies burning behind her.
- Snippets of Tarak's life is shown, as he goes from a well dressed Noble at a funeral, to an indentured servant after his homeworld runs into the destructive Mother World. Even more heartbreaking is the implication that the world being attacked in the teaser is his and the woman jumping off a ledge to her death during the attack, is his mother.
