Nightmare Fuel / Marvel's Avengers

• The celebratory Disney-like atmosphere turning into a disaster that numerous children are endangered by in the opening sequence. At one point, Kamala and her father are part of a crowd that is struggling to get off the Chimera as it starts to tip over.
• The description of the bigot in Heroes Park about what happened to his brother. His brother started glowing purple, was taken from him, and then experimented on until he died. Worse, the man blames the Inhumans as well as Avengers for it.
• The A Nazi by Any Other Name invocations of having robots moving from building to building, interrogating people about their blood, and asking if they're hiding Inhumans among them. This continues as Kamala must flee from AIM's soldiers as they search with spotlights and soldiers that make it clear she'll be treated like an animal for her blood.
• Tarleton's first appearance after A-Day in the shadows of his limousine shows the Body Horror he's been undergoing but it's really his attitude that makes him extra creepy as you can almost believe he has Kamala's best interests at heart.
• The absolute pants wetting terror that Kamala Khan, a huge fan of the Avengers, feels when the Hulk is chasing her through the wreckage of the Chimera. At the very end, despite having fought numerous robots and survived great difficulties, she can only meekly beg for her life as the Hulk looms over her.
  "Please don't kill me. Please don't kill me. Please don't kill me."
• Tarleton's increasingly gnarly mutations as he transforms into MODOK are pretty gruesome: even discounting the fact that his cranium continues to swell, his skin becomes increasingly wrinkled and develops some unsettling tumor-like growths.
• Tarleton's Berserk Button freak-out where he utterly owns the Abomination. Seeing his condition deteriorate and slowly become MODOK is not as bad as his personality go from Affably Evil to monster.
  • It also is preceded by a Dissonant Serenity childhood story about a wolf he raised that killed his childhood pet dog and friend, Darwin.
• The Dark Terigen experiments are very reminiscent of using poison gas on prisoners. The fact they would die except for regular injections of Captain America's Super Soldier Serum-enhanced blood only makes it worse.
• The Does This Remind You of Anything? subtext of the fact that Monica Rappacini's experiments do not work and yet she continues to do them as a Sunk Cost Fallacy is something that has many parallels in real experiments that have vast funding and few moral scruples.
