The Beards were an Australian comic/rock/folk band with a focus on beards. In 2005 the band The Dairy Brothers performed for a single show as The Beards; this lead to local success and international exposure, and the band has played as The Beards at several Big Day Outs (an Australian music festival). There are quite a few videos of their work on YouTube. They disbanded after a highly successful farewell tour in 2016.

They/Their work feature examples of:
- Ambiguously Bi: The video "You should consider having sex with a bearded man" is shot from first person ala Smack My Bitch Up, with the ending reveal that the POV character is a man.
- Beard of Barbarism: Natch, being Australians. Averted in the video "If your Dad doesn't have a beard, you've got two mums", where it is clear that one of the band members is wearing a falsie.
- Face on a Milk Carton: In the video "If your Dad doesn't have a beard, you've got two mums", the band is shows gleefully skipping away into the fields with their new young friend, visiting a circus, drinking, etc. Then a milk carton is set down showing the young boy's face, and the next scene is crying parents talking to a police officer. It's played for laughs, of course (the boy is implied to have run off with the band to grow a beard).
- Running Gag: 4 albums, 50+ songs, all about beards. Lamp Shaded by the final track on the third album, "Beard Related Song Number 38".
