Orange Crate Art is a collaborative album between American artists Brian Wilson and Van Dyke Parks. It marks a return for both artists as a duo since their work on the Beach Boys album SMiLE.

It was recorded during a short period where Brian gained freedom from his psychiatrist Eugene Landy and got much more productive, releasing two albums (including this one) in 1995 on top of producing an extensive amount of songs with Andy Paley from 1992 to 1994. Van Dyke, on the other hand, was steadily focused on his career as a soundtrack composer.

Much of the album's lyrics refer to California in the early 20th century. Van Dyke wrote and produced it while Brian provided vocals and vocal arrangement.
