Primarily known for his voice acting projects, Mamoru Miyano (宮野 真守) began his career as a musician in 2007, with his debut single Kuon (久遠, Eternity) released through KING RECORDS as the ending theme for the anime series Kotetsu Sangokushi.

Since then, Miyano has made a big name for himself in the Japanese music industry, recording and releasing tons of songs (most of them used as anime or game themes and soundtracks) and going on solo tours around Japan (and Taiwan in 2017) every year. In 2013, he became the first male voice actor to perform solo at Nippon Budokan arena, and in 2015, he became the first male voice actor with number 1 single on Oricon daily chart with Shine, the opening theme song for the third season of Uta no☆Prince-sama♪. In June 2017, he became the first male voice actor to top Oricon's weekly Blu-ray chart with his concert DVD Mamoru Miyano Live Tour 2016 ~Mixing!~.

For live performance, he often frequently collaborates with Nana Mizuki, a fellow voice actress who made a huge name for herself in the music industry.

Tropes found in his music:

  • Fun with Acronyms: M&M for Miyano Mamoru, J☆S stands for Just Smile.
  • Genre Roulette: His discography is incredibly varied, going from rock to dance to ballad at a moment's notice.
  • Theme Naming: All of his concert tours have titles that end in ING and usually refer to a song/single/album he's currently promoting.
  • Odd Name Out: All of his albums have titles that are in one English word only, except for The Love, which was released in 2017.
  • Singer Name Drop: M&M appears in a few of his tracks.
  • Singing Voice Dissonance: Downplayed. His usual tone of speaking is fairly high, if a bit nasally nowadays, while his singing voice is a bit deeper and clearer, though he's shown to go into different parts of his range for different songs.
