* William Frega from ''VisualNovel/TyrionCuthbertAttorneyOfTheArcane'' was well known for being "a chauvinistic pig", in Aria's words. He desperately tried to have a son, but only got three daughters. It's safe to assume he would have kept trying if his wife hadn't died. He preferred to marry one of them to a rival house and have the husband lead House Frega rather than let his own daughter be in charge. This daughter, Laefe, isn't happy about it, obviously. William is depicted overall as a very nasty man that few people mourn.

* ''Film/CharliesAngels2019'' portrays the majority of its villains as a sexist {{Jerkass}} to demonstrate that the titular Angels can prove that women can save the day.

* ''Film/LittleWomen2019'': Jo's publisher orders her to make sure her heroine ends the story "dead or married" as a condition of picking up her book, and later when she writes a novel based on her and her sisters' lives, he heavy-handedly expresses doubt over anyone will want to read stories about women. This is naturally so he can be proven wrong when his three daughters excitedly burst into the room, wanting to know what happens next.

This was attempted LeaningOnTheFourthWall to parallel Louisa May Alcott's editor insisting Jo marry Friederich when the original novel was published, but the other situation was actually the inverse - where the author was pressured into writing a story about girls by her publisher because he thought it would have wider appeal (the film portrays Jo's book as a passion project she has to fight for).

General clarification on works content

* Halfway through ''Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica'', Sayaka Miki is taking the subway when she overhears two men bragging about how one abused and then dumped his girlfriend. The two men laugh and claim that women are nothing but stupid whores to be kept in line with force. [[spoiler:Sayaka loses her temper and beats them within an inch of their lives, and that was shortly before becoming a Witch]]. Apparently, this scene was based on [[RealityIsUnrealistic a real conversation]] that Creator/GenUrobuchi overheard on a train.

* ''Manga/JujutsuKaisen'': Naoya Zenin embodies the archaic viewpoints posited by some of the more traditional clans in the setting, specifically the chauvinistic and demeaning attitudes towards women prevalent within Maki and Mai's backstory. He believes that a woman's only value in life is to support her husband, and coldly judges the worth of the women in his clan based on their appearance and obedience. He likes Mai a lot more than Maki entirely because [[HasAType Mai has the bigger tits]] [[HartmanHips and the fatter ass]] while also being more "obedient".
