* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: On a game scale, it's when a person decides to flounce from a game, usually due to a number of things, from the stupidly simple to the complex. On a net-wide scale, the many games listed here actually jumped ship from Website/LiveJournal to [=DreamWidth=] when [=LJ's=] system changed to the point where playing there was impossible.

As an outgrowth of their enormous fandom contingent, Website/LiveJournal, [[http://insanejournal.com InsaneJournal]], and [[http://dreamwidth.org Dreamwidth]] have a large and lively (and dramatic) roleplaying community. No, not [[TabletopGames that kind of roleplay.]] Or [[{{RPG}} that one.]] The format has also taken off on other personal blog-based sites, such as Tumblr, Twitter, and Deviantart.

* PersonaNonGrata: The fate of many a banned player. Even moreso, places like Wankgate go out of their way to make sure other games are warned about the worst of the worst if they find out they're playing there (though nowadays they just bash ''everyone'', so it's really not that helpful).

* SeriousBusiness: Just look at [[http://community.livejournal.com/bad_rpers_suck brps]], [[http://roleplaysecrets.dreamwidth.org roleplaysecrets]], [[http://rpanoncomm.livejournal.com anon]], [[http://rpanons.dreamwidth.org memes]], [[http://asylums.insanejournal.com/rpvents rp vents]], [[http://asylums.insanejournal.com/quitroleplay quit role play]], and [[http://wankgate.dreamwidth.org wankgate.]]
* ShootTheMoney: Many people are reluctant to drop dying muses until their paid accounts run out.

* SmallNameBigEgo: Quite common, and let's leave it at that.

* StopHavingFunGuys: Even dressing room games, which are ''made'' to be laid-back and casual, are not immune to anonymous backlash. Hell, even some ''museboxes'' (private games in which only a select few players are allowed) have been known to get this, to the point where ''[[WretchedHive Wankgate]]'' of all places instituted a rule against it. Combine this with the [[ForumSpeak GIFT]] (courtesy of the aformentioned memes) and it gets ugly.

* TheWikiRule: Some games have their own player-made wikis.

* LoadsAndLoadsOfRoles: Some players play several characters, sometimes across several games.

* TalkingToHimself: What happens when a player with LoadsAndLoadsOfRoles in the same game has their characters interact. Often called "playercest", it is generally looked down upon, though a few games take to it with enthusiasm when done well.

* FromClonesToGenre: From the get-go. They're not Sages of Chaos clones, they're multifandom dressing rooms. They're not Roleplay/IslandRP clones, they're jamjars. They're not Roleplay/DramaDramaDuck clones, they're reverse jamjars or nexus games. They're not Roleplay/TheSkyTides clones, they're plot-heavy AU games. They're not Roleplay/DanganRoleplay clones, they're short-term, small-cast mystery games (or "murdergames".) And so on. Some of the older examples (like Sages and Island) have been almost forgotten, and their legacy stubbornly remains in the genres they built, which arose from other games ripping them off.
