* CanonImmigrant: Averted in the early days, this is starting to become a thing in recent games where players of closed games (either recently or in the past) have carried a character's CR and history from one game to the next game.

* FanNickname: "Spooky jamjar" has become the shorthand for OntologicalMystery / ClosedCircle as an RP setting. Stems from a secret that was submitted to roleplaysecrets, in which one of the complaint options was "games set in a spooky jamjar."

* FromClonesToGenre: From the get-go. They're not Sages of Chaos clones, they're multifandom dressing rooms. They're not Roleplay/IslandRP clones, they're jamjars. They're not Roleplay/DramaDramaDuck clones, they're reverse jamjars. They're not Roleplay/TheSkyTides clones, they're plot-heavy AU games. They're not Roleplay/DanganRoleplay clones, they're short-term, small-cast mystery games. And so on. Some of the older examples (like Sages and Island) have been almost forgotten, and their legacy stubbornly remains in the genres they built, which arose from other games ripping them off.

* StopHavingFunGuys: Even dressing room games, which are made to be laid-back and casual, are not immune to anonymous backlash. Hell, even some museboxes (private games in which only a select few players are allowed) get this. Combine this with the GIFT (courtesy of the aformentioned memes) and it gets ugly.

* AudienceAlienatingPremise: There have been a handful of games that failed to take off because of an offputting premise. Possibly the most infamous among the DWRP old guard was The HouseOtherwise known as "Rape House," due to being a sex game that rewarded characters for forcing themselves on others. Also the orignator of the "Their bodies are of age" meme.. Interestingly, while sex games are commonplace on Dreamwidth now, they were this once: when Roleplay/AmatOmnes started the trend, it sparked a tremendous amount of argument over whether the premise condoned rape (among other issues.)

* MegaCrossover: Panfandom games, by nature.
* MemeticMutation: Loads, usually stemming from the anoncomms and/or roleplaysecrets.
** Any [=RPers=] that write examples on TV Tropes? I feel like the only one.
** Spooky jamjar: See FanNickname.
** That (character). Started with "That Patchouli," an AlternateUniverse Patchouli that tried to screw any women that move; "That (whoever)" thus tends to get attached to a character played in a similarly creepy and out-of-character manner.
** Tits o'clock is when the new RP Secrets goes up.
** wgar: A typo for "what" that replaced it for a while on the anon comm.
