"Hikaru finds himself in the afterlife, wandering aimlessly when he stumbles upon three confessed murderers bullying the guy they killed. When the bullies spot him, the victim snatches and throws some glowing object in a bag at Hikaru and goes Don't Ask, Just Run, trying to delay the bullies from giving pursuit.

The spirit of Roland shows up, promising to extricate Hikaru from the situation, and he delivers.

But there was a catch…

「I want you to kill someone within an hour. If you don’t, I’ll destroy your soul.」

To pull off the task assigned to him, he poured all his available points to the Stealth skill tree.

This is a story of a boy who specialized in Stealth. With his skill trees as weapons, he would demonstrate his unrivaled strength in another world."

Alternative Title:

察知されない最強職《ルール・ブレイカー》The Undetectable Strongest Job: Rule Breaker

The Undetectable Strongest Job provides examples of:

  • Biting-the-Hand Humor: When Hikaru and a fellow Japanese manage to compare notes, he internally muses if trucks in Japan have some kind of spell that sends people to other worlds.
  • Hammerspace: Discussed. Hikaru asks if there are item boxes or other kinds of extra-dimensional storage to the guild receptionist Jill. She retorts that if such an item exists, it's incredibly rare and expensive. It would take the full budget of a small country to buy one. When Hikaru manages to get his hands on one... he believes it doesn't quite live up to the hype.
  • New Life in Another World Bonus: Invoked. Hikaru steals his "cheat" skill from the three bullies he meets in the afterlife, after they tried to steal it from the victim they were kicking around. In fact, the intended victim not only gives Hikaru his blessing, he actively obstructs the bullies from trying to take it back.
  • Race Against the Clock: Hikaru's story starts out with him having only an hour to kill Count Morgstad before his soul is destroyed by the rebound of the spell that was used by Roland to summon him to this new world.
  • Rape as Drama: As Lavia is being escorted to the royal capital, to be formally sentenced in the death of her father, Count Morgstad, the C-rank adventurers hired to escort the carriage beat up the coach driver, steal the keys and break into the carriage, intending to rape her. Fortunately, Hikaru had already spirited her away by that point. On a later occasion, a cleric and healer, Paula and her party foolishly listen to the advice of senior adventurers with ulterior motives and find themselves in over their heads, facing a battalion sized swarm of goblins. Said senior adventurers grab Paula to throw her at the goblins, to be used as a seed bed, so the senior adventurers could escape...
  • Real Politik: The "Allied Nations of Forestria" is only an alliance in name. The seven internal nations are almost constantly vying for supremacy among each other. This leaves the alliance as a whole vulnerable to external threats like Ponsonia and Quinbland, and there are several major projects left on the back-burner due to requiring a multi-national coalition to carry out, like a flood-relief works-project and a monster subjugation and land reclamation. The latter ultimately results in a massive monster outbreak that nearly destroys the entire alliance, only stopped by the heroic efforts of hundreds of adventurers, including Lavia and Hikaru.
  • Reincarnate in Another World: Hikaru was a typical Japanese teen that got killed by a traffic accident and then his soul wound up in the body of Roland, which then changes to match his original Japanese appearance, and he's not alone. Seleca of the famous adventurer party, "Four stars of the East" is also a Japanese native dragged to this new world and taking up adventuring to make ends meet.
  • Rescue Romance: Hikaru winds up with Lavia, his main squeeze, when he rescues her from being unjustly convicted of murder in a Kangaroo Court and used as a Child Soldier Person of Mass Destruction in war, her will and well-being be damned.
  • Schizo Tech: The story takes place in a medieval society, and yet Hikaru uses a plastic bag to bring over his kills to the Adventurer's Guild HQ to have them appraised.
  • Sickening Sweethearts: Hikaru and Lavia dote on each other so much and have such good chemistry that the reader better have an insulin shot nearby...
  • Stealth Expert: Hikaru's build, in a nut-shell.
  • Too Desperate to Be Picky: Frequently Hikaru finds himself in a situation where he has to take a less than ideal "solution" because he doesn't have any better alternative and he's in a real pickle. In fact, he accepts Roland's summon, without knowing all the details, because he's being chased by the spirits of three confessed murderers as he's got the stolen MacGuffin that would later manifest as his new "cheat" skill.
  • World of Jerkass: Just about everyone in this new world works entirely in their own best interests, the people around them be damned, unless their presence is good for their own agency. Those that are genuinely good and kind tend to get exploited or stepped upon. The main characters are not exempt from this reality.
