Another Isekai Story? Let's go!

Makoto Takatsuki is a normal high school student and a hardcore RPG player. However, “normal” goes out the window when his whole class is involved in a bus crash and whisked away to another world! Powerful gods rule this strange new land of magic and monsters, and every newcomer is blessed with strong stats and unique skills. Well, not quite. Makoto’s stats turn out to be pathetic, and his skills are super weak compared to his classmates’…he’s even stuck as an apprentice mage. Worse still, he’s given only ten years to live! Luckily, Makoto soon meets a minor goddess named Noah, who appears in Makoto’s dreams and asks him to become her first believer. With the help of Noah’s blessings and a divine weapon, Makoto seeks to become strong enough to rescue his goddess from the dungeon where she’s been trapped. By training hard and using his weak skills in unorthodox ways, Makoto proves that, even when playing on hardcore difficulty, an RPG player always makes it to the end!

Full Clearing Another World under a Goddess with Zero Believers (JP: 信者ゼロの女神サマと始める異世界攻略 Shinja Zero no Megami-sama to Hajimeru Isekai Kouryaku) is a Japanese Web Serial Novel series written by Oosaki Isle, first released on Shousetsuka ni Narou on May 9, 2018. A Light Novel adaptation by J-Novel Club entered print on March 25, 2019, and was localized in English beginning on December 3, 2021. A manga adaptation drawn by Shiroi Hakuto (BanG Dream! Yonkoma: Bandori!) began serialization on April 24, 2020.

The series contains the following tropes:

  • Bloodless Carnage: Makoto could just freeze a whole area to kill his enemies.
  • Chekhov's Gun: Oh boy, where do we start?
    • Makoto's dagger seems to be a special weapon that has an absurd cutting power, sound a little common right? It turns out it was made from the scythe of Cronus (or what's little left of it) that can kill anything, even Gods. Even chains that are designed to hold divine beings are also useless to it.
    • Makoto's stats are so crappy that it took him a year just to master his powers and still it didn't raise even a bit. This made him a perfect candidate to Time Travel back in time as his stats and skills isn't that noticeable in the Death World back then, and powerful beings can't be sent back easily
    • The Great Sage was always on the right place and in the right time whenever Makoto needs help or assistance that it's beyond Contrived Coincidence, The Great Sage is Momo, a girl that Makoto helped when he time traveled 1,000 years ago and all of her actions thru out the story is to help her master but in a way that it isn't too much obvious or else it might disrupt the Stable Time Loop.
    • Connected on the 2nd bullet, there is a black coffin in the room of the Great Sage. Makoto and Sasa was about to take a peek on it but the Great Sage stopped them. The coffin contains Makoto who time traveled to the past who took the The Slow Path to return to the future by freezing himself solid combined with time stasis with the Great Sage Momo as the guardian.
  • Childhood Friends: Makoto and Aya.
  • Crapsack World: Monsters check. Demons that actively attacks humans? Check. Uncooperative nations in the face of annihilation? Check. This is turned up to eleven when Makoto returned back to the past.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Oh boy. Most of the time, Makoto kills his enemies in such ways that demons can't hold a handle against him.
  • Deity of Human Origin: Makoto is turned into a Titan God (first one after 15 million years) when Noah kissed him on the lips. Since Noah is a virgin and unsullied god, Makoto had to atone for it by taking responsibility of taking Noah's purity (a kiss is already considered) by turning into a God himself.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: At first, Makoto only has basic skills and has an apprentice magician as his occupation, which is one of the weakest occupations out there. It was not until he was given Spirit Magic and mastered Spirit Water Magic that he decimate enemies. One demon lord from the past got shit in his pants seeing how Makoto them as pests that only need to be killed and decimated. It comes to the absolute level when Makoto was turned into a Titan God courtesy of Noah. Not only did his stats get a massive boost, his Spirit Magic can now use all types of spirits (but still his proficiency is more attuned to Water, Time and Destiny Spirit) that he can casually rewind and stop time on a Demon Lord who tried to escape to hell.
  • Go Mad from the Revelation: If an ordinary mortal tries to look at the Goddesses directly they will be driven mad from the divinity. A hero or an oracle can withstand it but for a very second and its already mind-breaking for them. and in Noah's case would charm her followers to the point of mad zealotry whether she likes it or not., that's why they opt to descend using oracles. That is why Makoto is seen by the goddesses as an anomaly: He can't be charmed even by the gods themselves even Noah herself whose charm skill is considered to be the highest.
  • Heart Is an Awesome Power:
    • At first, the skill 'Calm Mind' seems like a useless skill but Noah pointed out that with 'Calm Mind' Makoto won't panic in battle or get overconfident when fighting a monster. Not only that, but 'Calm Mind' also protects him from spells that cause fear or mind control. Then it was revealed that it's not the "Calm Mind" that protects him from mental spells but rather the "RPG player" skill.
    • The RPG Player skill itself may seem pretty weird at first but it turns out that it was really an RPG player meaning that Makoto can see everything in 360-degree point of view and also he can't be affected by the mental attacks as the player (Makoto) can't be affected the character's status effects..
    • Makoto's other skill "Multiple Endings" (a skill hidden by Noah when she fiddled with his soul book) is the most broken skill in the story. It turns out the choices that appear in front of Makoto can lead to "endings" where everyone could die if he didn't choose carefully. Depending on his choices, the skill forces EVERYTHING (including the Gods and Destiny) to align with Makoto's choices that even impossible things like Makoto clearing the Deep Sea temple or Noah falling in love with Makoto would happen if he really wants it.
    • Fuji-yan's "Galge Player" may seem to be a mind-reading skill but according to the Goddesses his skill is also broken that Fuji-yan could use it for world domination as he could abuse its third person and playback functions. It comes to an absurd degree when the author revealed that the hidden skill of the Galge Player is that they can jump on any point of their timeline if they die.
  • Mass Teleportation: Makoto and his class was transported to another world after a bus crash.
  • Meaningful Name: The real name of the planet where the story happens is Noah as the Deep Sea Temple isn't her real prison but the whole planet itself. Also, the reward for saving Noah is having a choice to destroy the whole planet itself and be the new beings of the new world, just like The Ark.
  • The Reveal:
    • The Last Dungeons (Babel, Abyss and the Deep Sea Temple) are considered high risk and high rewards on their own but if one clears those dungeons it has equivalent godly rewards. Babel would grant godly ascension, Abyss would strengthen the challenger combined with rare metals can be gathered and the Deep Sea temple is a lever... that if turned completely would make Leviathan destroy the whole world and the challenger with his chosen people together with all the paired creatures inside the temple would be the new beings of the restarted world.
    • The Leviathan that is guarding the Deep Sea Temple real job is not to guard the temple but rather to destroy the whole world if a cataclysmic event happens. It just happens that the Gods chose to place Noah there to make it nigh impossible to accomplish of saving her.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Despite his propensity for Curb-Stomp Battle and glamorous spells being thrown around left and right, Makoto is this trope to a terrifying degree. Having stats comparable to a civilian and skills that are more utility-based than combat-based, he makes up for it with magic proficiency that soon reaches triple digits when usually it grows at a snail pace (especially after level 50), abusing any skills and weapons he does have, and being a Combat Pragmatist. When he got an external source of power like a large water source, a powerful mage to synchronize with, or the assistance of spirits, he's basically unstoppable.
