LOST? Corduroy had never wanted to be lost!

Corduroy Lost And Found is a sequel to Don Freeman's original Corduroy works by B.G. Hennessy. In it, Corduroy leaves Lisa and her family's apartment to find Lisa a present for her birthday. Unfortunately though, his search gets him lost. It was published in 2006, over 40 years after the original book and nearly 30 years after the first sequel by Freeman (who had passed away back then).

This book provides examples of:

  • Bait-and-Switch: After seeing a dog Corduroy considers getting Lisa a pet (Presumably a dog.), only to get adducted by the dog.
  • Canine Companion: Discussed, Corduroy considers getting Lisa a pet for her birthday after seeing a dog.
  • Elevator Buttons Mash: Corduroy does this at first thinking that the elevator's buttons are part of some sort of game. After words he does this think that the entire elevator is some sort of rocket.
  • Girls Love Stuffed Animals: As to be expected Lisa is this. She even starts putting up signs to help her find Corduroy.
  • Living Toys: Corduroy of course.
  • Weird Moon: The moon's just a yellow circle; in fact, Corduroy even believes that it's a balloon he can give to Lisa.
