Blackwood is a Gothic Ebook created by Leon Young, also known as Harry Andrew Jones. The story is about a man named Lord Edward Blackwood who lost his wife Eleanor Blackwood. Plagued by visions of his dead wife, he is sent to a mental hospital where he gets submitted to terrifying treatments.
The tropes:
- Bedlam House: The asylum Edward went to is not pretty at all. It's dirty, filled with rats and screaming patients, and Edward went through treatments that are painful.
- Gothic Horror: It has a castle with thunder, a man who is haunted by hallucinations of his dead loved ones, mental asylums, and is set in The Gay '90s.
- It Was a Dark and Stormy Night: "Thunder booms over the Blackwood Castle."
