Terrance and Philip is a Canadian Show Within a Show from South Park. The show centers on the titular duo's antics with Toilet Humour, which has gotten the show under heat from the parents of the South Park children, mainly Sheila Broflovski.
The show has been featured prominently ever since the episode "Death", which had the parents contest the show after the boys perform dangerous tasks while distracted via watching the show, culminating in Stan almost accidentally killing his grandfather.
In 1999, the duo got their own movie titled Terrance & Phillip: Asses of Fire. Just like their TV series, it got on the nerves of countless mothers, but this time the blowback was much stronger than anyone could have anticipated.

- Crass Canuck: The show's main duo are two foul-mouthed Canadians who love Toilet Humor.
- A Day in the Limelight: The show is focused on every so often, and Terrance and Philip usually get their own episode once every season or two.
- Early-Installment Weirdness: Phillip was voiced by Matt Stone in their debut episode, while Terrance was voiced by Trey Parker. They would switch roles when the characters were brought back in later stories.
- Gasshole: Their main elements are farting on each other.
- Hated by All: The parents anyways. Every parent at best either dislikes the show, and at worst wants Terrance and Philip dead.
- On the other hand, all the children love the show, and even a few adults. The Grim Reaper is even shown to be a fan.
- The Movie: It had one of these, titled Asses of Fire in the South Park movie.
- Retcon: Early episodes featuring them stated them as a cartoon, which explained the crude animation. Eventually, it was revealed to be a "live action" show, and Terrance and Philip are Canadians, who all look like that.
- Sir Swears-a-Lot: The entire cast becomes this in The Movie, where they say "Uncle Fucker" about every two sentences.
- Stylistic Suck: Even by South Park standards the animation is crude.
- They Killed Kenny Again: The show is regularly cancelled at the end of episodes, only to return uncancelled the next time the characters are shown.
- Toilet Humour: The show's main sense of humour stems from farts, poop jokes, and anything related to urine or feces in general.
