While most of these moments are undermined because of the comedic tone and Tsubame being creepy, there are some moments that are still touching.

     General
  • Seeing how close Misha was with her mother. It only makes her passing all the heartbreaking.

     Anime

  • Episode 2:
    • Hypocrisy aside, Tsubame tries to report several child predators to the admins of the MMO site as a means of protecting Misha whenever she played online.
    • While it ends badly for Tsubame, Misha for once was truly happy when she met a player over an MMO game.
    • Misha and Tsubame go camping, and afterward go out for more activities. While she tried to deny that she had fun, it is very apparent that Misha is slowly starting to like Tsubame.

  • Episode 3:
    • Tsubame tells Misha a story about a panda attending her school as a metaphor for how one should not judge a person on their appearance without beginning to know them. Though, of course, this is slightly mitigated by Tsubame adding that she snuck into Misha's bathroom each day to measure how much toilet paper she used.
    • Misha makes friends with Mimika and later on saves the class hamsters after they had been restricted to one cage. She would end up adopting three of them.

  • Episode 4:
    • Mimika gives Misha a nickname, and Misha happily gave her one back.
    • When Mimika was to arrive to her house, Misha was truly terrified for her since Tsubame was around, and actually tries to keep Tsubame from answering the door for her safety.
    • Mimika's gleeful reaction to wearing a dress Tsubame made.

  • Episode 5:

  • Episode 6:
    • While things get out of hand immediately, Misha is concerned for Midori when she appears to cry after being rejected by Tsubame.

  • Episode 7:
    • Misha admitting that she actually did miss Tsubame (well, more for her cooking, but the thought is there) and begging her to become her maid again.
    • Misha allowing Midori to stay a little longer.

  • Episode 8:
    • While Tsubame vehemently rejects the notion, Misha takes note on how much Midori liked Tsubame, and suggests that she marry her so that she could have a stable living.
    • Misha's concern for Midori when she wakes up to find her having bled profusely. While she is still weirded out by her, it's made clear that Misha treats Midori respectfully in comparison with putting up with Tsubame's antics.
    • Midori finally gets a job: cleaning up her employer's houses. While it suddenly become morbid, the fact that Midori is happy with a job she's actually good at is enough to cover that quirk.

  • Episode 10:
    • Even though she tends to find her irritating, Misha still thinks enough of Yui as someone special when she was alone on the mountain.
    • In a twisted way, Tsubame's remarks of dedication towards Misha when she was facing the mother bear are poignant.
    • Misha gets in Yasuhiro's mat under the claim that she felt cold. While she had yet to call her "Daddy," it's clear that she is beginning to realize how important he is to her.

  • Episode 11:
    • At this point, it is made apparent that the reason that Yui constantly tries to have competitions with Misha is because she wants to be her friend.
    • While annoyed that Tsubame had switched out her pajamas with ones she had made, Misha admits that the pajamas were nice, deciding to wear them for the night. Tsubame is so delighted, her pulse stops.
    • Yui asking Mimika to accompany her to the bathroom, since she was afraid to go by herself. They are shown the next day grasping onto each other after being terrified throughout the night.
    • As Tsubame herself had noted, Misha appears to slowly be more accepting of her...even though she is still annoyed by her at times.
    • Also counts as a sad moment, but Tsubame covers for Yui and Mimika when Misha discovers that someone had opened her late mother's room, most likely because she was trying to save the friendship the two girls share with Misha.

  • Episode 12:
    • Misha realizes that Mimika and Yui were the ones to enter into her mother's studio, but she doesn't hold anything against them.
    • Misha finally allowing Tsubame to enter her mother's room.
    • The reason Tsubame joined the JSDF? Because in her own way, she wanted to do so to honor her father.
      • Really, the fact that the two could bond over having their own losses is touching in itself.
    • Child Tsubame is adorable.
    • Despite loving her, Midori helps Tsubame to realize how much she had come to care for Misha after she had seemingly spoken out of turn.
    • Misha mellows out during the end credits such as when she played around with Yui, reminding her that she shot milk out of her nose the prior day. On the opposite end, Yui very clearly enjoys having Mimika as a friend, even if she isn't willing to admit it. Even with Tsubame again trying to push for the two to get married, Misha ultimately had grown to tolerate her behavior, accepting Tsubame for what she was.

OVA

  • Yui calls her competiton with Misha to a draw solely because she enjoyed her day at the hot springs resort with her.
