Heartwarming / The Iliad

  • King Priam, sneaking into his enemies' war camp alone, just to beg Achilles for mercy to have his dead son Hector's body back. Manly Tears ensue.
  • One time when the Trojans were attacking the Greeks who were retreating, Nestor was left behind and saw Hector gunning for him. He tried to call for help, but everyone, including the big guys who have fought with Hector to a draw like Ajax, ignored him and left him for dead - but Diomedes came back for him. This also doubles as a Momentof Awesome since he was going against Hector and would have almost killed him if Apollo hadn't protected him. Probably the oldest form of A Friend in Need if there ever was one.
