  • From book 2, Legs demonstrates his skills by hacking into the police records and changing Mr. Snake's profile to be more positive ("Status: Very Lovable. Action: Give Him A Hug.").
Mr. Snake: But nobody can access that! There's no way you can hack into their system. That's the toughest security there is!
Legs: Yeah, it is kind of tricky. But it's worth it just to see you smile, Mr. Snake.
    • Mr. Shark finally getting over his fear of spiders so he can work with Legs. From that point on, Legs is usually riding on Mr. Shark's shoulder. As a symbol of their friendship, Legs modifies Mr. Wolf's car to give Mr. Shark's head more space.

Brooke: We spent our whole lives locked in tiny cages. But then that wonderful wolf and his friends — they set us free!
Pat, Homemaker: I thought they were lovely. Especially the really big chicken. Or maybe it was a shark. It was hard to tell...
Fiona, Celebrity Chef: They inspired me to follow my dreams. I'll never forget them.
Diane, Supreme Court Judge: We should all be careful not to judge others simply by the way they look. Sometimes the scariest-looking creatures can be the kindest and best of all.
    • Despite their fight earlier in the story, Mr. Wolf refuses to give up on Mr. Snake, insisting he can still be a hero and giving him an impassioned plea as they escape Marmalade's lair:
Mr. Snake: I hate you, Wolf!
Mr. Wolf: Well, I don’t hate you, Snake! And I won’t give up on you, no matter what happens. I’m sorry I ate you earlier, but I’m not sorry for getting you into all this trouble. This is what heroes do. And I truly believe you have a hero inside you, Mr. Snake. And I’ll never stop believing that. Ever.
    • Agent Fox also stops before she leaves to give Mr. Snake some encouragement, making Mr. Snake shed a Single Tear.
Agent Fox: I know what you did at the chicken farm. You are the reason those chickens are free. You’re already a hero. You just have to start believing it.
  • In book 5, even after Mr. Wolf saves the gang from Marmalade and stops the Cute-Zilla ray, Mr. Snake is still torn up about him leaving Mr. Wolf to die in space. Mr. Wolf forgives him, even though Mr. Snake can't, calling himself a "dirty old snake".
Mr. Snake: What's wrong with you, man? I'm no good. Why can't you see that?
Mr. Wolf: (hugging him) I know what I see. And it's not just a dirty old snake. That's for sure.
  • In book 8, with Mr. Wolf transformed into the Big Bad Wolf and rampaging through the city, Mr. Snake tries to use his new mind-control powers to snap him out of Marmalade's control, but fails. Agent Fox encourages Mr. Snake to try again, this time without the mind-control powers. Her lines indicate that even with her and Mr. Wolf's blooming romance, she sees he and Mr. Snake have a special connection.
Agent Fox: Forget you have mind powers for a minute. Just pretend you’re plain old Mr. Snake.
Mr. Snake: What? What good will that do?!
Agent Fox: That way you can just talk to him. He loves you. Just... talk to him.
