- Being a Spirit manages to have their perks—allowing characters already deceased like Aerith to have lasting conversations with their loved ones again.
- Luigi reuniting with Stefano (Dr. Mario) after the latter helped him snapping out of his possession at the end of Chapter 17. Dr. Mario then hugs and comforts his cousin when he tearfully apologizes for not being strong enough to resist the possession, reassuring him that it's okay to be scared by explaining to him that Mario is afraid of Antasma and the Shroobs, but most of all, he's scared that something might happen to his brother and that he may be unable to save him, but his fears push him forward.
- Snake's reunion with Otacon. Both are also overjoyed that they can communicate via Codec, despite Otacon being a Spirit. Afterwards, there are many Codecs between the two, just like old times.
- Toon Link manages to give Red a pep talk during the fight against Galleom, recalling how he nearly missed out on the fourth tournament because of his time in Subspace. This finally snaps Red out of his funk and brings him back in the fight.Toon Link: You are not alone in this. We will help you once we get out of this situation, I swear on it.
- Upon learning that Bowser Jr. is stranded somewhere in the Triforce of Power sector of the Sacred Realm, Bowser wastes no time in splitting up from his group to rescue his son.
- After Bowser is finally successful in rescuing his son, they proceed to spend a bit of time together. Bowser is aware he has to help the others, but is willing to temporarily set that aside to spend time with his son. D'aww.
